Passenger vehicle wireless access point security system

Techniques are described to detect and/or prevent malicious wireless attacks and/or suspicious wireless activity related to a wireless network in a commercial passenger vehicle. For example, an access point located in the commercial passenger vehicle receives a set of wireless beacon frames from a first wireless device, makes a first determination of a first beacon frame rate of the set of wireless beacon frames, receives a second beacon frame after a first beacon frame, makes a second determination of a second beacon frame rate of the second beacon frame relative to the first beacon frame, makes a third determination that a second wireless device is impersonating the first wireless device upon comparing the first beacon frame rate to the second beacon frame rate, and sends, upon making the third determination, a security alert message to an external input/output (I/O) device in the commercial passenger vehicle.

Interference measurement

A method performed for measuring Cross Link Interference (CLI), the method performed by a User Equipment (UE) and comprising: detecting a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) from the neighbor UE; measuring receiving sensitivity based on the SRS; transmitting a measurement report including interference value, wherein the interference value is determined on a the measured receiving sensitivity value and a table, wherein the table includes the interference values for ranges of the measured receiving sensitivity value, wherein the ranges of the measured receiving sensitivity values is defined with 1 dB resolution.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING INTERFERENCE PROBABILITY WITHIN A RADIO FREQUENCY BAND

A device may receive location information associated with a fixed service satellite station (receiver) configured to communicate via a first radio frequency (RF) band. The device may obtain historical communication data associated with the location and relating to previous communications conducted via a second RF band, of user equipment (UEs). The historical communication data may include historical signal power measurements of the previous communications. The device may adjust the historical signal power measurements to model estimated signal power measurements relating to a UE to communicating via a first RF band. The device may determine, based on the estimated signal power measurements, an interference score associated with a probability of a UE interfering with the receiver when communicating, via a first RF band, with a base station.

Full duplex interference measurement and reporting

This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for interference measurement and reporting by a UE. The interference measurement can be self-initiated by the UE or based on a request received from a BS. To measure the interference, the UE transmits a first signal in UL resources to a first BS concurrently with receiving a second signal in DL resources from one of the first BS or a second BS. The received second signal includes interference associated with the transmitted first signal. Based on the received second signal, the UE determines a level of the interference that is associated with the transmitted first signal. Information associated with the level of the interference is then transmitted to the first BS, such as an indication of a guard band that is to be incorporated between the UL resources and the DL resources.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish a first connection of a first radio access technology (RAT) associated with a first subscription of the UE. The UE may establish a second connection of a second RAT associated with the first subscription of the UE. The UE may establish a third connection of a third RAT associated with a second subscription of the UE. The UE may tune away from the first connection to receive a communication via the third connection. The UE may tune back to the first connection from the third connection. The UE may configure a transmission power parameter of the first connection based at least in part on a time-averaged parameter. Numerous other aspects are described.

Position measurement in presence of MBSFN signals

In one example, a method comprises: receiving assistance data from a location server; classifying a plurality of candidate cells in the assistance data into a first group of candidate cells and a second group of candidate cells, wherein the classification is based on whether a candidate cell transmits position reference signal (PRS) symbols in one or more multimedia broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframes in a positioning occasion, and based on a cyclic prefix (CP) length of the PRS symbols being transmitted by the candidate cell in the positioning occasion; selecting, based on one or more predetermined criteria, one of the first group or the second group of candidate cells to measure the one or more PRS in the positioning occasion; and measuring the one or more PRS from one of the first group or the second group of candidate cells in the positioning occasion to measure PRS measurements.

Machine learning-based audio codec switching

Described herein are techniques, devices, and systems for providing an optimal voice experience over varying radio frequency (RF) conditions while using EVS audio codecs. A user equipment (UE) may adaptively transition between using a music-capable EVS codec (e.g., EVS-FB) as a default audio codec that provides a first audio bandwidth and a different EVS audio codec that provides a second audio bandwidth that is less than the first audio bandwidth. The transition to the different EVS audio codec may occur in response to determining a value indicative of a RF condition associated with a serving base station is less than a threshold value, which allows for providing preserving at least a minimal level of voice quality in degraded RF conditions.
