METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SENSOR BASED OPTIMAL ANTENNA ARRAY SWITCHING IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to 5G or pre-5G communication systems for supporting higher data transfer rates, following the 4G communication systems, such as LTE.
The disclosure describes a method and a UE for sensor-based optimal antenna array switching in a wireless communication system. The method comprising: detecting at least one orientation parameter of the UE using one or more sensors of the UE, comparing a current signal strength parameter value of one or more serving Antenna Array Modules (AAMs) of the UE with a first threshold value or comparing a non-serving AAM monitor timer of the UE with a second threshold value, comparing at least one orientation parameter with a third threshold value based on the current signal strength parameter value of one or more serving AAMs being less than the first threshold value or based on the non-serving AAM monitor timer exceeding the second threshold value, performing measurements on one or more non-serving AAMs, and selecting at least the one or more serving AAMs and the one or more non-serving AAMs based on the measurements performed.

FULL DUPLEX INTERFERENCE MEASUREMENT AND REPORTING
This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for interference measurement and reporting by a UE. The interference measurement can be self-initiated by the UE or based on a request received from a BS. To measure the interference, the UE transmits a first signal in UL resources to a first BS concurrently with receiving a second signal in DL resources from one of the first BS or a second BS. The received second signal includes interference associated with the transmitted first signal. Based on the received second signal, the UE determines a level of the interference that is associated with the transmitted first signal. Information associated with the level of the interference is then transmitted to the first BS, such as an indication of a guard band that is to be incorporated between the UL resources and the DL resources.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR INDICATING AND SWITCHING UE CAPABILITIES
The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive, from a base station, at least one SSB. The apparatus may also determine a RSRP of the at least one SSB. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of all of the at least one SSB is less than a threshold, an indication of a reduced UE capability of the UE during a RACH procedure. The apparatus may also transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of one of the at least one SSB is greater than or equal to the threshold, the indication of the reduced UE capability of the UE after entering into a RRC connected state upon completion of the RACH procedure.
SELECTION OF INFORMATION FOR INCLUSION WITH GROUP-BASED REPORTING
A UE configured to report resources, such as beams, to a base station may be unaware of the context or purpose for which the UE is reporting such resources. As different resources may provide different performance and/or quality when used in different contexts, the resources reported by the UE may provide lower quality and/or performance in one context relative to some other unreported resources. In order to improve resource reporting by the UE, the UE may be informed of an operational mode and/or a criteria based upon which the UE may select resources to report. The UE may report such selected resources to the base station in a group-based beam report. The base station may then configure communication with the UE based on the reported resources.
Creating Library of Interferers
A system includes a method for detecting a signal interference in a communication signal of a wireless communication system. An identified source of the signal interference is determined according to an interference profile of a plurality of interference profiles associated with an interference profile library having information that approximates characteristics of the signal interference. The signal interference of the communication signal is mitigated according to an interference parameter associated with the identified source by filtering the communication signal according to the interference parameter.

GROUP-BASED BEAM MANAGEMENT
A WTRU may include a memory and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive beam grouping information from a gNB or transmission and reception point (TRP). The beam grouping information may indicate a group of beams that the WTRU may report using group-based reporting. The group-based reporting may be a reduced level of reporting compared to a beam-based reporting. The group-based report may include measurement information for a representative beam. The representative beam may be one of the beams in the group or represents an average of the beams in the group. Alternatively, the representative beam may be a beam that has a maximum measurement value compared to other beams in the group. The group-based report may include a reference signal received power (RSRP) for the representative beam and a differential RSRP for each additional beamin the beam group.

Communication apparatus and communication method
A communication apparatus performs packet transmission at the time of detecting an interference signal. Each STA records a pair of a measurement result of an RSSI of an OBSS and a BSS Color, and reports, to an AP, BSS Colors that correspond to a maximum value and a minimum value of the RSSI. The AP generates a database or a table by using a STA having a minimum or maximum RSSI for each of the OBSS's. When a signal of an OBSS is detected, the AP selects a STA that has the smallest RSSI of the OBSS or does not have the largest RSSI of the OBSS, and performs SR transmission.
