Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may transmit a configuration associated with beam-based measurement reporting for a candidate cell group, wherein the candidate cell group is configured for layer (L1)/layer 2 (L2) mobility, and wherein the candidate cell group includes a deactivated cell. The network node may receive a message indicating a beam-based measurement for the deactivated cell according to the configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.
METHOD AND APPARATUS
Methods and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: receiving, at a user equipment (UE), configuration information from a next generation nodeB (gNB), where the gNB includes a first transmission/reception point (TRP) and a second TRP; requesting, by the gNB, the UE to report beam measurements for the first TRP and beam measurements for the second TRP; determining, by the UE, the beam measurements for the first TRP based on channel measurement resources (CMR) of the first TRP; and determining, by the UE, the beam measurements for the second TRP based on CMR of the second TRP.

Disclosed is a method and device for beam training for an IRS assisted cellular system. The method performed by BS in the IRS assisted cellular system includes configuring the IRS in a retro-reflection mode to reflect a received beam in same direction of reception of the beam and determining a BS optimal Tx-Rx beam pair for a BS-IRS link. The method includes: configuring the IRS to receive a beam from the UE; configuring the IRS to determine an IRS optimal Tx-Rx beam pair for an IRS-UE link and receiving signalling information from the UE indicating the IRS optimal Tx-Rx beam pair; and transmitting to the UE, a beam through the BS optimal Tx-Rx beam pair which is received at the UE through the UE optimal Tx-Rx beam pair, wherein the IRS reflects the beam transmitted by the BS to the UE through the IRS optimal Tx-Rx beam pair.
CARRIER CONFIGURATION METHOD AND RELATED DEVICE
A carrier configuration method and a related device are provided. A first carrier and a second carrier are configured for an electronic device, and the second carrier is a supplementary uplink carrier of the first carrier. The method includes: The electronic device receives a first message, where the first message includes configuration information of a secondary cell, and the secondary cell includes at least a serving cell corresponding to the second carrier. The electronic device configures, based on the configuration information of the secondary cell, the serving cell corresponding to the second carrier. That the serving cell corresponding to the second carrier is configured includes: An uplink of the second carrier remains as a supplementary uplink of the first carrier, or the supplementary uplink of the second carrier is deactivated, or an uplink of the second carrier is aggregated with an uplink of the first carrier.
METHOD FOR SENDING AND RECEIVING BEAM MEASUREMENT RESULT REPORT, AND DEVICE
A method for sending and receiving a beam measurement result report, includes: sending a beam measurement result report, in which the beam measurement result report includes a beam measurement result report of at least one beam group, and at least one beam in the at least one beam group corresponds to a neighbor cell of a terminal.
METHOD AND APPARATUS TO OPTIMIZE RANDOM ACCESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, including receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) release message including first information for a small data transmission (SDT) configuration, transmitting, to the base station, small data based on the first information, and transmitting, to the base station, a random access (RA) report including SDT information.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR BEAM REPORTING FOR MULTIPLE TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION POINTS
Methods and apparatuses for beam reporting for multi-transmission/reception points are provided. The method includes receiving a set of resources for beam measurements. The set of resources includes two portions, each of which corresponds to a transmission/reception point. The method includes receiving a request to measure perform a layer-1 reference signal received power measurement, and reporting one or more reporting groups in a channel state information reporting instance.
METHODS FOR INTER-UE RESOURCE COORDINATION MECHANISM
Methods for enabling inter-User Equipment (UE) resource coordination are provided. More specifically, methods performed by a receiving device and a transmitting device for enabling inter-UE resource coordination are provided. The methods disclosed herein can help achieve a sound tradeoff between benefits of resource coordination and overhead associated with resource coordination. Specifically, the methods can help reduce network load and ineffective resource coordination message, obtain better suggestion in terms of rules and formats of the resource coordination message, and create a framework for combining different types of resource coordination formats.
INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT SCHEMES IN MULTICAST BROADCAST SERVICE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
Apparatus and methods for interference management in Multicast Broadcast Service (MBS) in a wireless network. A User Equipment (UE) receives unicast and MBS from a Base Station (BS). In one embodiment, the UE measures the interference between unicast and MBS, and performs beam adaptation to find a receive beam that matches both unicast and MBS beams to reduce the interference between the unicast and MBS. In another embodiment, the UE reports its desired receive beam direction to the BS. The BS may schedule the UE with the indicated beam by the UE. In other embodiment, the BS measures the link qualities of a plurality of the UEs receiving MBS, and if it receives a link failure indication from a UE, it may schedule that UE with a unicast service.
