SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REFERENCE SIGNALING DESIGN AND CONFIGURATION
Example implementations include a wireless communication method of selecting, by a wireless communication device, N resources, where N is equal to or larger than 1; and sending, by the wireless communication device to a wireless communication node, a message including a Channel State Information (CSI) report, where the CSI report includes an index of each of the N resources, and quality information of each of the N resources, where each of the N resources includes a reference signal resource, and where each of the N resources corresponds to one of M elements, M being smaller than or equal to N.
PATH LOSS AND TRANSMIT POWER CALCULATION FOR A USER EQUIPMENT
A user equipment (UE) may obtain a plurality of reference signal received power (RSRP) measurements, each RSRP measurement of the plurality of RSRP measurements corresponding to an antenna port of a plurality of antenna ports associated with the UE. The UE may calculate a path loss and a transmit power for the plurality of antenna ports based on a worst RSRP measurement of the plurality of RSRP measurements, and may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) based on the transmit power. This may reduce a likelihood that a network node incorrectly estimates the channel conditions experienced by the UE and may improve the channel estimation capabilities of the network node.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING AR FILTER COEFFICIENT AND TIMES OF SYNCHRONIZATION
Apparatus and methods are provided for determining AR filter coefficient and numbers of synchronization. In one novel aspect, the AR filter coefficient and times of synchronization are determined based on the temperatures of the oscillator. In one embodiment, the UE determines a temperature drift rate by collecting sets of temperatures before and after the UE in the sleep mode of the CDRX, generates one or more threshold look-up tables and performs an optimization selection based on the temperature drift rate and the one or more threshold of look-up tables, wherein the optimization selection comprising selecting an alpha coefficient and a number of subframes for synchronization. In another embodiment, the optimization selection is further determined based on a subcarrier spacing, and a channel type of being a static channel type and a fading channel type. The UE further performs an on-the-fly oscillator S-curve calibration based on the set of temperatures.
BEAM FAILURE DETECTION AND RECOVERY IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method comprising, detecting a maximum permissible exposure event or that the maximum permissible exposure event is potential, determining at least one beam for a contention-free random access based beam failure recovery procedure, wherein the at least one beam is affected, or will be affected, by the maximum permissible exposure event and transmitting to a wireless network node at least one indication about the at least one beam.
RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR MULTI-TRP SIDELINK COMMUNICATION
Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for resource allocation for multi-TRP sidelink communication are provided. An example method includes receiving one or more signals comprising sidelink control information (SCI) at multiple TRPs of the sidelink device, the SCI indicating a resource reservation. The example method further includes decoding the SCI based on the one or more signals measuring a reference signal received power (RSRP) associated with the SCI at each of the multiple TRPs. The example method further includes. The example method further includes determining available resources for sidelink transmission for a subset of one or more of the multiple TRPs based on the RSRP.
FACILITATING TIME-ALIGNED MEASUREMENTS FOR USER EQUIPMENTS (UES) AND BASE STATIONS FOR POSITIONING
Disclosed are techniques for communication. In an aspect, a location server transmits a first request to at least a first network node, the first request including at least a first set of parameters indicating one or more first time instances during which the first network node is expected to perform and report one or more first positioning measurements of periodic positioning reference signals transmitted by a second network node during a plurality of periodic time instances, the plurality of periodic time instances including the one or more first time instances, and receives a first measurement report from the first network node, the first measurement report including the one or more first positioning measurements of the periodic positioning reference signals transmitted by the second network node during the one or more first time instances.
DETECTING AND PREVENTING PING-PONG EVENTS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect a ping-pong event between a non-standalone (NSA) New Radio (NR) network and a standalone (SA) legacy network. The UE may transmit, to the SA legacy network, an indication of radio link failure with the NSA NR network, based at least in part on the ping-pong event and one or more indicators of channel quality with the NSA NR network. The UE may measure, periodically, one or more reference signals from the NSA NR network. The UE may reconnect to the NSA NR network based at least in part on the one or more reference signals satisfying at least one condition. Numerous other aspects are provided.
RELAY DEVICE MANAGEMENT WITH MULTIPLE QUALITY THRESHOLDS
A remote user equipment (UE) device manages relay reselection using a plurality of quality thresholds. In one example, when a current communication route from the remote UE device to a communication device through a first relay UE device includes a first sidelink PCS link that has quality less than a preferred quality threshold, the remote UE device evaluates candidate relay UE devices. The remote UE device selects the second relay UE device where the candidate relay UE device provides a communication route with a second sidelink PCS link with a quality greater than the preferred quality threshold and where the quality of the first sidelink PCS link is below a minimum quality threshold and the second sidelink PCS link has a quality above the minimum quality threshold. Otherwise, the remote UE device continues to communicate over the first communication route through the first relay UE device.
ADAPTIVE CONFIGURATION OF MEASUREMENT GAP USAGE
