Hybrid splitter passing CATV+MoCA and MoCA signals
A CATV & MoCA splitter has an input and at least one output that is CATV & MoCA and at least one output that is MoCA only. The splitter functions as a building block to provide a customizable installation that supplies the needed number of CATV & MoCA outputs and the needed number of MoCA only outputs. The splitter includes a housing with first, second and third coaxial ports attached to the housing. In one embodiment, the second coaxial port is connected to the first coaxial port via a power divider so that all frequencies presented to the first coaxial port can pass to the second coaxial port, and vice versa. A high pass filter, which passes only MoCA signals, connects the power divider and third coaxial port.
LEGACY VIDEO NETWORK CONFIGURATION IN A DISTRIBUTED ACCESS ARCHITECTURE
In one embodiment, a method receives a network topology of a distributed access architecture and a legacy video network. Video streams include characteristics that are associated with delivery via the legacy video network. The method selects a set of anchor points for a remote physical device in the distributed access architecture where the set of anchor points are associated with a geographic location of the remote physical device. A set of attribute labels are selected for the set of anchor points where the set of attribute labels associated with characteristics of the video streams. The method then generates a definition of video streams based on the anchor points and the attribute labels for a remote physical device configuration and generates the remote physical device configuration for video. The remote physical device configuration is used to provide the video streams to the remote physical device.
ICON-BASED HOME CERTIFICATION, IN-HOME LEAKAGE TESTING, AND ANTENNA MATCHING PAD
A method for determining the magnitude of leakage in a subscriber's premises CATV installation; a frequency multiplexer for coupling between an antenna and a receiver for the multiplexed frequencies; and, a method for a technician to certify a CATV subscriber's premises for the provision of CATV services are disclosed.

PARTIAL VIDEO ASYNC SUPPORT USING R-MACPHY DEVICE
Systems and methods for providing timing information from a R-MACHPHY device to a video core while the R-MACPHY device receives video data from the video core while operating in asynchronous mode. In some embodiments, the R-MACPHY device may alternately and selectively configure its mode of operation to alternate between synchronous mode and asynchronous mode, and provide the timing information to the video core when it switches to asynchronous mode.

Resource allocation in communications networks using probability forecasts
A system (1000) is disclosed including a resource allocation optimization (RAO) platform (1002) for optimizing the allocation of resources in network (1004) for delivery of assets to user equipment devices (UEDs) (1012). The RAO platform (1002) determines probabilities that certain asset delivery opportunities (ADOs) will occur within a selected time window and uses these probabilities together with information concerning values of asset delivery to determine an optimal use of asset deliveries. In this regard, the RAO platform (1004) received historical data from repository (1014) that facilitates calculation of probabilities that ADOs will occur. Such information may be compiled based on asset delivery records for similar network environments in the recent past or over time.

METHODS FOR LOCATING A NOISE SOURCE IN A CATV SYSTEM
Methods for locating noise in a CATV system are disclosed. The methods may use a probe or instrument configured to be coupled to a port of the CATV system. The probe may be operable to selectively filter signals in the CATV system to suppress the frequencies at which noise may be present in the CATV system. In some embodiments, the methods may also use a signal level meter, and the probe may be configured to be coupled to the signal level meter to detect and locate noise in the CATV system.
Traffic management architecture
A cable distribution system includes a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network that provides data suitable for the plurality of customer devices. A traffic monitoring system receives from a customer support device a first data request for a parameter of one of the plurality of customer devices. The traffic monitoring system provides a second data request for the parameter of the one of said plurality of customer devices to a customer premise equipment management system in response to receiving the first data request. The traffic monitoring system receiving a first data response including the parameter from the customer premise equipment management system in response to providing the second data request to the customer premise equipment management system. The traffic monitoring system providing a second data response including the parameter from the traffic management system to the customer support device in response to receiving the first data response.
