NETWORK INTERFACE DEVICE
A network interface device includes an active path between an entry port and a first input/output port. The network interface device also includes a passive path between the entry port and a second input/output port. The network interface device also includes a buffer in the active path configured to absorb, attenuate, terminate, or isolate radio-frequency (RF) signals. The network interface device also includes a switching element in the active path configured to selectively bypass the buffer during normal operating conditions.
Method and apparatus for distribution of media content via multiple access technologies
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a cost-efficient wireless framework for delivering TV services (e.g., live TV services). The wireless framework can include a mix of wireless access technologies (e.g. Satellite, WiFi and/or LTE overlay links). TV content (e.g., live TV content) can be injected into the network at a few locations (e.g., residential locations) using satellite antennas (e.g., satellite dishes). The content can then be further distributed to other homes using a house-to-house WiFi network and/or via an overlay LTE network. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Instrument for locating a noise source in a CATV system and method of using same
An instrument for locating noise in a CATV system is disclosed. The instrument comprises an electrical circuit assembly moveable within an outer body. The electrical circuit assembly includes a filter configured to suppress noise frequencies in the CATV system. The instrument also includes a mechanical biasing element coupled to the electrical circuit assembly to bias the electrical circuit assembly in a position relative to the outer body.

INSTALLATION AND SCALING FOR VCORES
A cable distribution system includes a head end connected to a plurality of customer devices through a transmission network that includes a first remote physical device, where the first remote physical device includes remote physical layer processing, that converts digital data to analog data suitable for the plurality of customer devices, where the head end includes at least one server each of which includes a respective processor.
ICON-BASED HOME CERTIFICATION, IN-HOME LEAKAGE TESTING, AND ANTENNA MATCHING PAD
A method for determining the magnitude of leakage in a subscriber's premises CATV installation; a frequency multiplexer for coupling between an antenna and a receiver for the multiplexed frequencies; and, a method for a technician to certify a CATV subscriber's premises for the provision of CATV services are disclosed.

MOCA ENTRY DEVICE
An entry device includes an entry port configured to receive cable television (CATV) signals from a headend. The entry device also includes a filter connected to the entry port. The entry device also includes a plurality of first output ports and a plurality of second output ports. The entry device also includes a first path connecting the filter to the first output ports. The first path is configured to have the CATV signals and multimedia over coax alliance (MoCA) signals pass bidirectionally therethrough. The entry device also includes a second path connecting the filter to the second output ports. The second path is configured to have the MoCA signals pass bidirectionally therethrough and to block the CATV signals from passing therethrough.

Amplifier with digital linearization and multiple output stages
Systems and methods that cancel distortion in the amplified outputs of a node by equalizing the distortion characteristics amplifiers in the node, so as to improve the effectiveness of predistortion applied to a downstream signal amplified by the node.
