Methods and apparatus to verify and/or correct media lineup information are disclosed. Disclosed example apparatus include a comparator to compare media presentation data representative of media output by a set top box to reference data corresponding to a first station to determine whether the media presentation data corresponds to the reference data, the media presentation data collected while the set top box was tuned to a first channel number. The comparator is also to determine a second station that corresponds to the media presentation data when the media presentation data does not correspond to the reference data, and relate the first channel number to the second station to create a second channel map to replace a first channel map that related the first channel number to the first station based on channel lineup information for the set top box.

Methods and apparatus to verify and/or correct media lineup information are disclosed. An apparatus for transmitting broadcasting signal using transmitter identification scaled by 4-bit injection level code and method using the same are disclosed. An apparatus for transmitting broadcasting signal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a waveform generator configured to generate a host broadcasting signal; a transmitter identification signal generator configured to generate a transmitter identification signal for identifying a transmitter, the transmitter identification signal scaled by an injection level code; and a combiner configured to inject the transmitter identification signal into the host broadcasting signal in a time domain so that the transmitter identification signal is transmitted synchronously with the host broadcasting signal.

A searching system for searching contents that were broadcast, the searching system having an inputting unit, a searching unit, and a terminal unit is disclosed, wherein the inputting unit comprises a first storing means for storing information representing at least time at which contents were broadcast corresponding to a predetermined operation, and a first communicating means for transmitting the information representing time stored in the storing means to an external unit, wherein the searching unit comprises a second storing means for correlatively storing information representing contents and broadcast time thereof, and a searching means for searching information representing the contents stored in the second storing means corresponding to the information representing time, and wherein the terminal unit comprises a second communicating means for receiving the information representing time transmitted from the inputting unit through the first communicating means, a third communicating means for transmitting the information representing time received by the second communicating means and receiving search results transmitted from the searching unit, and a first displaying means for displaying the information representing time received by the second communicating means and the search results by the searching unit.

A method of providing program monitoring information and a broadcasting system using the same are provided, which can inform a viewer of program change circumstances made by other people. A user terminal of the broadcasting system may include a display unit configured to display a particular program; and a monitoring information manager unit configured to display program monitoring information through the display unit. Here, the program monitoring information includes the program change information of at least one other terminal different from the user terminal.

A method of providing program monitoring information and a broadcasting system using the same are provided, which can inform a viewer of program change circumstances made by other people. Methods and apparatus to verify and/or correct media lineup information are disclosed. An example method includes accessing, by executing an instruction with a processor, a script received from an audience measurement entity. The method further includes executing, with the processor, the script to tune a set top box to respective ones of a plurality of channels. The method further includes collecting, by executing an instruction with the processor, media identification data associated with the respective ones of the channels. The method further includes transmitting media presentation data to the audience measurement entity, the media presentation data mapping the media identification data to the respective ones of the channels.

Methods and apparatus to verify and/or correct media lineup information are disclosed. An example method includes accessing, by executing an instruction with a processor, a script received from an audience measurement entity. The method further includes executing, with the processor, the script to tune a set top box to respective ones of a plurality of channels. The method further includes collecting, by executing an instruction with the processor, media identification data associated with the respective ones of the channels. The method further includes transmitting media presentation data to the audience measurement entity, the media presentation data mapping the media identification data to the respective ones of the channels.

A method for populating a plurality of radio stations on a user device, the method includes receiving the plurality of radio stations, including a radio station signal type, receiving a broadcast area for each of the plurality of radio stations, receiving a request for radio service from the user device, the request for radio service comprising a location of the user device, a user device signal threshold, and a user device antenna capability, wherein the user device antenna capability comprises at least one signal type, calculating a plurality of user device ranges for each of the plurality of radio stations, determining, a plurality of in-range radio stations, filtering, the plurality of in-range radio stations based at least in part on the user device signal threshold, further filtering the plurality of in-range radio stations based at least in part on the user device antenna capability, and transmitting the plurality of in-range radio stations, and related content for the each of the plurality of in-range radio stations.
