A seating unit that includes a foldable bed includes: a base with an internal cavity; a foldable bed that includes separate and distinct head, intermediate and seat sections; and a bed folding mechanism. In a folded position, the intermediate and seat sections are generally horizontally disposed and positioned in vertically stacked relationship, and the head section is generally vertically disposed and positioned adjacent a rear portion of the base, with an outer surface of a cushion of the head section forming the rear surface of the seating unit, and in an unfolded position, the head, intermediate and seat sections are generally horizontally disposed and in serial alignment with each other. The bed folding mechanism is attached to the base and the head, intermediate and seat sections and controls the movement of the bed between the folded and unfolded positions.

A contractible sofa linkage device includes a linkage assembly, a seat frame mount hinged above the linkage assembly, and a leg assembly hinged to a front end of the seat frame mount; an inner side wall of the seat frame mount is provided with a mounting platform, wherein a height of the mounting platform is lower than an upper edge of the seat frame mount, and an angled plane where the mounting platform is positioned is a seat frame mounting surface; the leg assembly includes a footrest link assembly and a footrest member, in which the footrest link assembly is hinged to the seat frame mount, the footrest member includes a footrest plate mounting surface used to mount a footrest plate, and the footrest plate mounting surface is retracted below the seat frame mount when the footrest link assembly drives the footrest member to be retracted to a limit position.

An electrical mechanical stretching device of a movable sofa includes a mechanical stretching device and an electrical device, wherein the mechanical stretching device includes a third leg rod and a third connecting rod. The electrical device consists of a motor sliding block connecting pipe, a motor, a motor leg fixing pipe, a motor guide rail and a motor sliding block. The motor is provided with the motor guide rail. The motor sliding block is mounted on the motor guide rail. A motor end is rotatably connected via a second rotating shaft to the motor leg fixing pipe which is fixed on the third leg rod. The motor sliding block is rotatably connected via a first rotating shaft to the motor sliding block connecting pipe which is fixed on the third connecting rod. A base of the mechanical stretching device is connected by two bottom connecting pipes.

A convertible sofa is convertible between a sofa configuration and a bed configuration. The convertible sofa includes articulated armrests. When the convertible sofa is in a sofa configuration, the arm rests are in an arm rest configuration. When the convertible sofa is in a bed configuration, the arm rests are in a generally flat or horizontal configuration.

An articulated back sofa bed has a top pivoted back that is aligned at a downwardly forwardly aligned angle in a sitting position and, when a mattress supporting frame is deployed to a bed position an articulation mechanism displaces the seat back rearwardly, to a downwardly rearwardly aligned angle, thereby providing clearance for deployment of the mattress supporting frame clear of the bottom of the back, thereby allowing for a compact overall footprint for the sofa.

A mechanism for transforming furniture from a sitting position to a lying down position has right and left jacks with identical design, which are a mirror reflection of each other, connected by a synchronisation mechanism. Each jack has a fastening plate which attaches the jack to the furniture body, angle bars, upper and lower for connecting with the mattresses, a spring and a front pull rod and rear pull rod with centre arms. Each jack has a backrest driving sub-assembly created from a backrest rotation pull rod and support to be connected with the backrest of the furniture, whereas the backrest rotation pull rod is connected in an articulated manner on one end with the bottom end of the rear pull rod, and on the second end is connected in an articulated manner with the support connected in an articulated manner to the fastening plate.

Convertible multifunctional furniture comprising at least one support base, at least one lifting device which is supported on the support base, a usage unit, a horizontal rotational axis in the longitudinal or transverse direction about which the usage unit can be rotated, and a mounting pin at each end of the rotational axis. At least one scissor mechanism is arranged between the lifting devices and each mounting pin of the rotational axis, at least one scissor limb is connected to a drive of the lifting device at one end and to a support at the other end. The other end of the scissor both is connected to a linear element for controlling purposes, said linear element having a surface which can be coupled to a surface of a wheel that is rotatably coupled to a complementary element of the mounting pin.

An articulated back sofa bed has a top pivoted back that is aligned at a downwardly forwardly aligned angle in a sitting position and, when a mattress supporting frame is deployed to a bed position an articulation mechanism displaces the seat back rearwardly, to a downwardly rearwardly aligned angle, thereby providing clearance for deployment of the mattress supporting frame clear of the bottom of the back, thereby allowing for a compact overall footprint for the sofa.

A sofa bed traversable between a sofa and bed configurations is disclosed herein. It has a folding mechanism having first and second pairs of link members rotatably attached to a backrest and support members on left and right sides of the back rest. Via the first and second link members, the back rest is transitionable between the sofa configuration and the bed configuration. A seat base is movable up and down at an angle via a sliding mechanism.
