Method and a Device for Improved Status Reports
The invention discloses a method (700) for a cellular system (100), in which traffic can be exchanged between first (110, 120) and second (110, 120) transceivers. The traffic is sent in data units, each of which is given an identifier, and which data units may be divided into segments. A receiving transceiver (110, 120) may send status information in data frames or data units (200, 300) about properly received, partially received, or non-received data units to a sending transceiver, i.e. the transceiver from which the data was sent. In the case (705) of partially or non-received data units, the status information includes (710) information about whether the data unit or units were non-received or partially received, and in the case of one or more partially received data units, which (715) parts of those data units that were not received.
Methods of multi-link buffer management without block acknowledgement (BA) negotiation
Embodiments of a multi-link device (MLD) are generally described herein. The MLD may be configured for multi-link communication on a plurality of links. The MLD may be configured with a plurality of stations (STAs). Each STA may be a logical entity that includes a singly addressable instance of a medium access control (MAC) layer and a physical (PHY) layer of a link of the plurality of links. The MLD may configure traffic identifier (TID) assignment for the MLD for multi-link communication with another MLD. The multi-link communication may be configurable to support one or more data streams, wherein each of the data streams corresponds to a TID. The MLD may determine an assignment of the TIDs to the STAs of the MLD.
User terminal, base station and radio communication method
To appropriately perform communication even in a case where a transmission timing/transmission period for retransmission control information is flexibly controlled (is variable), an aspect of a user terminal according to the present invention includes a transmitting section that transmits retransmission control information for DL transmission and a control section that controls transmission of the retransmission control information at certain timings reported from a base station. A time window is configured for the retransmission control information, the control section controls transmission of the retransmission control information, based on the certain timings and the time window configured for the retransmission control information, and at least one of the certain timings is included within a range of the time window.
Apparatuses and methods for fast switching from trigger mode to contention mode uplink (UL) transmission
A wireless communication terminal including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from an Access Point (AP). The controller is coupled to the wireless transceiver, and configures the wireless communication terminal to operate as a Station (STA) to associate with the AP in compliance with an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 standard. Also, the controller receives a beacon frame indicating to disable an UL MU operation from the AP via the wireless transceiver, and enables the STA to operate in a contention mode for UL transmission in response to receiving the beacon frame indicating to disable the UL MU operation.
Probability forwarding in a flood fill mesh radio network
Disclosed is an improved implementation of a flood fill mesh network that utilizes probability forwarding for rebroadcasting network messages. The forwarding probability may be determined based on analyzing a network topology map constructed by each network node relative to its neighbor nodes communicating on the network and derived from state information contained in synchronization frames broadcasted by the network nodes on the network. The forwarding probability may comprise a statistical probability that a message frame received by a network node will be forwarded to the intended destination network node by one or more of the network node's neighbor network nodes.
Operation of automatic repeat request
There is disclosed a node for a wireless communication system. The node may comprise a receiver for receiving a data packet, a status report and an acknowledgement (ACK), a transmitter for transmitting the packet, the status reports and the ACK and a processor for selectively operating in a first mode and a second mode, for determining a mode switching criterion.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a communication method and an apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies, to reduce a phenomenon that an acknowledge rule is violated in some scenarios. The method includes: After a receive device receives a first data unit from a transmit device through a first link, the receive device sends receiving status information of the first data unit to the transmit device through the first link, unless the first data unit meets any one of a first preset condition. The first preset condition includes: Correctly received information of the first data unit is fed back through another link, or an acknowledge policy corresponding to the first data unit is no acknowledge. The communication method in embodiments of this application is applied to a multi-link data transmission process.
DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ENHANCED MULTI-LINK OPERATIONS
A device, a system, and a method for enhanced multi-link operations are disclosed. In an embodiment, the device includes a wireless network interface device implemented on one or more integrated circuits (ICs), where the wireless network interface device is configured to exchange, via a radio associated with a link, frames according to an enhanced multi-link radio mode, and switch from the frame exchanges in the link to monitoring multiple links after at least one of completion of the frame exchanges and a frame exchange error.
Link-specific block acknowledgment for multi-link communication
An electronic device that communicates frames is described. During operation, the electronic device may transmit the frames addressed to a recipient electronic device and associated with multiple links between the electronic device and the recipient electronic device. Then, the electronic device may receive block acknowledgments for at least a subset of the frames, where a given block acknowledgment is associated with the recipient electronic device and indicates received frames on a given link in the links. Moreover, the electronic device may control an amount of traffic conveyed on the links based at least in part on the block acknowledgments. Next, the electronic device may store a remainder of the frames based at least in part on the block acknowledgments, where the frames include the subset of the frames and the remainder of the frames. Note that the frames may have a common traffic identifier.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST FEEDBACK, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A method for transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request feedback, and a communication device are provided. The method includes: generating a reception feedback frame including a reception feedback of a block in a data frame based on a reception status of the block of the data frame transmitted in blocks; and sending the reception feedback frame.
