The present disclosure relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a terrestrial station thereof and a data transmission method. A data transmission method is applied to a terrestrial station and the method includes: receiving data packets continuously sent by a UAV; detecting continuity of data packet sequence numbers of the received data packets; and sending a data packet retransmission request to the UAV according to a lost data packet sequence number if it is detected that the data packet sequence numbers corresponding to the data packets are discontinuous. Adopting the UAV, the terrestrial station and the data transmission method that are provided in the present disclosure can effectively improve utilization of an uplink transmission link.

Transmitting and a receiving device and respective methods performed thereby for improving retransmissions in wireless networks

A wireless receiving device and a method for receiving a transmission from a transmitting device following a broadcast transmission of a plurality of packets are provided. During the broadcast transmission, packets successfully received have been acknowledged and stored in a memory associated with the receiving device and unsuccessfully received packets have been negatively acknowledged. The method comprises receiving a retransmission of a packet from the transmitting device and sending, to the transmitting device, an acknowledge, ACK, message with respect to the received retransmitted packet. The method further comprises decoding the received retransmitted packet using stored previously successfully decoded packets, wherein if the received retransmitted packet is successfully decoded then the method comprises decoding stored previously partially decoded packets using the successfully decoded packet. The method also comprises storing the successfully decoded packet and/or the partially decoded packet.

Information processing device that generates packet including first and second identifiers, transmission and reception device, and control method of information processing device

A first communication device included in an information processing device stores, for each first identifier that is allocated for identifying a first packet, situation information indicating a second identifier that is allocated along with the first identifier, and updates the situation information on the basis of a reception result of a second packet indicating an execution result of processing that is requested by the first packet. Then, the first communication device determines the first identifier and the second identifier that are allocated to the first packet on the basis of the situation information and generates and transmits the first packet storing the first identifier and the second identifier that. A second communication device included in the information processing device transmits the second packet after storing the second identifier stored by the first packet in the second packet when transmitting the second packet as a response to the first packet.

ADAPTING HARQ PROCEDURES FOR NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORKS

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for selectively deactivating (partially or fully) Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) mechanisms in a cellular communications system. Embodiments disclosed herein are particularly well-suited for adapting HARQ mechanisms for non-terrestrial radio access networks (e.g., satellite-based radio access networks). Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for deactivating HARQ mechanisms comprises receiving, from a base station, an explicit or implicit indication that HARQ mechanisms are at least partially deactivated for an uplink or downlink transmission. The method further comprises determining that HARQ mechanisms are at least partially deactivated for the transmission based on the indication and transmitting/receiving the transmission with HARQ mechanisms at least partially deactivated.

A data processing method and a related apparatus are disclosed, to improve data recovery effects in various packet loss scenarios. The method includes: determining a packet loss scenario type corresponding to a first data packet when detecting that the first data packet is lost in a data packet transmission process (201); generating a second data packet based on a data packet adjacent to the first data packet if the packet loss scenario type corresponding to the first data packet meets a data packet compensation condition (202); and finally adding the second data packet to a corresponding target location at which the first data packet is located before the first data packet is lost, that is, using the second data packet to compensate for the lost first data packet (203).

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRIORITIZING PACKET RETRANSMISSION

Disclosed herein includes a system, a method, and a device for prioritizing packet retransmission. A transmitting device can insert, for each packet of a plurality of packets of a video frame, a sequence number indicative of an order of the corresponding packet among the plurality of packets, into a header of the corresponding packet according to an application layer protocol. The transmitting device can transmit to the receiving device, at a first level of priority, the plurality of packets including the corresponding inserted sequence numbers. The transmitting device can receive an identification of one or more packets to be retransmitted to the receiving device, the identification based on at least the inserted sequence numbers of the one or more packets. The transmitting device can retransmit the one or more packets at a second level of priority that is higher than the first level of priority.
