An anti-theft merchandise hook that includes a top wire connected to a housing at a first end of the top wire, and to a mounting portion, used to mount the anti-theft merchandise hook to a stationary surface, at a second end of the top wire opposite the first end. A bottom wire is attached to the mounting portion and extends from the mounting portion towards the housing. The bottom wire is configured to hold retail merchandise. A hanger is at least partially disposed within the housing. The hanger is configured to move between a closed position in which the hanger abuts the bottom wire, and an open position in which the hanger is spaced some distance from the bottom wire. A motor is configured to move the hanger between the closed position and the open position.

The display hook may include at least one rod configured to be mounted to a display fixture and to receive one or more items of merchandise thereon. The display hook may also include a helix disposed about the rod and extending at least partially along a length of the rod. The helix is configured to rotate in a dispensing direction for dispensing the one or more items of merchandise from the rod and/or an opposite loading direction for loading the one or more items of merchandise onto the rod.

The first gear is operable to rotate the second gear in a first direction about the second axis. The biasing member is operable to rotate the second gear in a second direction about the second axis. The damper is operable to control a rate of rotation of the second gear in the second direction about the second axis. The second direction is opposite the first direction.

The peg is configured to retain items in packaging having a hole therein for the passage of the peg. The peg comprises a smooth rod with a section less than or equal to the section of the hole over a length of the rod configured to receive the packaging, and a notched free end section. The system further includes spacers formed by rings. Each ring has a lumen of section complementary to that of the rod and greater than the section of the notched free end, and at least one tooth configured to be disengaged by an external actuating mechanism to interact at rest with the notching. Each ring has an outer section greater than the section of the hole in the packaging.

Devices, systems and methods for hanging and securing items for display are disclosed. The hanger devices and systems are self-locking, secure and do not require special tools to install and/or remove. A hanger for displaying at least one item of merchandise relative to a structure includes a first hanger member and a second hanger member that are removably coupled to each other, the first hanger member and second hanger member forming a retaining portion that retains the hanger to a structure and a hanging portion that enable items of merchandise to be placed thereon and be displayed. Additionally, a hanger capture device is provided to be mounted to a slatwall to prevent hangers from being removed from the slatwall.

A merchandise dispensing apparatus for deterring theft has at least one merchandise support module which includes a covering defining an interior space within the module. A support member and a dispensing member are mounted to the module, the dispensing member being mounted adjacent to the support member. A lockout device is also mounted to each module and connected to the dispensing member. The lockout device includes a housing with a user input member accessible from outside the housing. The user input member communicates with the dispensing member. A controller, which includes a memory and a processor, electrically communicates with the user input member. A sensor electrically communicates with the controller and senses the dispensing of an associated packaged item mounted on the support member. A signaling device electrically communicates with the controller to provide a notification upon the dispensing of the associated packaged item.

Pull-slide system and method for suspended merchandise items

A system and method for displaying and dispensing items of merchandise placed in a row suspended from a cantilevered support mounts a track above the support, and couples a slide with the track for sliding movement along the track. An arm is carried by the slide and extends downwardly for engaging the row of items. A grip on the slide enables a purchaser or the merchant to grasp and manually move the slide and the arm from a rearward position, wherein the arm is located behind the row of items, toward a forward position so as to engage and move the row of items toward a forward point-of-purchase, thereby placing a forward-most item at the point-of-purchase. Upon release of the grip, a return spring returns the slide and the arm to the rearward position.
