METHOD AND SYSTEM TO AUTHORIZE A SESSION AT AN ONLINE CHARGING SYSTEM IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

Methods and systems for an online charging system to grant resources to a session with a terminal device when the session includes a large file or the session has a long duration. Embodiments the invention include methods performed by an electronic device for online charging in a wireless network. In one embodiment, the electronic device receives a request message for resources to set up a session with a terminal device, where the request message is sent from a core network interface to an online charging function (OCF), and where the request message indicates that the session includes a large file or that the session has a long duration. The electronic device determines that the terminal device has enough credit for the session based on the request message and grants the resources for the session with the terminal device based on the determination.

Determining a time to permit a communications session to be conducted

A system and method to facilitate communication between telecommunications participants in a telecommunications network is disclosed. In one aspect, a method of determining a time to permit a communication session by telecommunications participants to be conducted includes causing a telecommunications processor to retrieve, from a data storage: a free time value that is representative of a free time attributed to a participant in the communications session, a funds balance held by the participant, a pre-stored cost per unit time value, and a representation of a billing pattern for the participant. The method also includes causing the telecommunications processor to determine a maximum time to permit the communication session to be conducted as a function of the free time value, the funds balance, the cost per unit time value and the billing pattern. The telecommunications processor initiates ending the communication session when the time to permit the communication session to be conducted expires.

Network-accessible service for executing virtual machines using client-provided virtual machine images

Techniques are described for managing communications between multiple intercommunicating computing nodes, such as multiple virtual machine nodes hosted on one or more physical computing machines or systems. In some situations, users may specify groups of computing nodes and optionally associated access policies for use in the managing of the communications for those groups, such as by specifying which source nodes are allowed to transmit data to particular destinations nodes. In addition, determinations of whether initiated data transmissions from source nodes to destination nodes are authorized may be dynamically negotiated for and recorded for later use in automatically authorizing future such data transmissions without negotiation. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

A process and apparatus to facilitate communication between callers and callees in a system comprising a plurality of nodes with which callers and callees are associated is disclosed. In response to initiation of a call by a calling subscriber, a caller identifier and a callee identifier are received. Call classification criteria associated with the caller identifier are used to classify the call as a public network call or a private network call. A routing message identifying an address, on the private network, associated with the callee is produced when the call is classified as a private network call and a routing message identifying a gateway to the public network is produced when the call is classified as a public network call.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC RATE IDENTIFICATION
20230412407 · 2023-12-21 ·

A dynamic rate adjustment system identifies a user device and receives data from the user device comprising data describing a location of the user device. The dynamic rate adjustment system identifies a current time and a current cost for networking services to be provided to the user device. The dynamic rate adjustment system determines a dynamic rate for the user device to use the networking services based on the current time, user device data, and the cost for networking services. The user device may be caused to pause transmitting or receiving certain types of data based on the dynamic rate.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC RATE IDENTIFICATION ALONG A ROUTE OF A USER DEVICE
20230412409 · 2023-12-21 ·

A dynamic rate adjustment system receives an indication of a route and one or more network sectors that intersect with the route. The dynamic rate adjustment system determines a time period during which a user device will be located in each network sector and identifies a cost for networking services to be provided to user devices based on the time period. The dynamic rate adjustment system determines a dynamic rate for the user device to use the networking services based on the cost for networking services and causes the user device to transmit user device data based on the dynamic rate when the user device is located within a network sector associated with the dynamic rate.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC RATE AND HOTSPOT IDENTIFICATION FOR A USER DEVICE
20230413155 · 2023-12-21 ·

A dynamic rate identification system receives an indication of a route for a user device and identifies one or more network sectors based on the route. The dynamic rate identification system determines a dynamic rate for each network sector based on the route, and identifies at least one hotspot that a user device is able to access while the user device travels along the route. The dynamic rate identification system causes the user device to transmit user device data when the user device is able to access the hotspot.

20210058317 · 2021-02-25 ·

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a visual real-time interaction method for software defined networking (SDN). According to this method, a visual interface is established for the SDN. The visual interface includes at least one first node indicative of a port of a switch and at least one second node indicative of a port of a service provider. The first node and the second node are distributed on at least one stack hub. A connection is established between the first node and the second node. The connection has a curvature different from a curvature of the stack hub, and at least an extension line of the connection intersects with the stack hub. A location corresponding to the port of the switch and a location corresponding to the port of the service provider and an attribute of the connection are determined according to the connection.
