BAND USAGE INFORMATION GENERATING AND REPORTING METHOD, CHARGING METHOD, ENODEB, AND MME
The present disclosure provides a band usage information generating and reporting method, a charging method, an eNB, a CN, a MME and a UE. The eNB and the UE can generate band usage information for charging, and report the band usage information to the CN, wherein the band usage information involves band usage of at least a first band and a second band, and traffic is assigned to respective bands by the eNB. The Counting entity at the eNB or UE can count the data volume of each band or ratio of data volume via different bands as the band usage information based on the scheduling information of the data. The Charging system located in the CN can process the charging and generate a bill according to the reported band usage information.
Charging for services in telecommunications networks
Methods and apparatus for implementing a service function chain of a mobile telecommunications network. A method for implementing a charging function in a service function chain of a mobile telecommunications network in which the service function chain includes a plurality of service functions in which each service function is configured to apply one or more services associated with a user packet traversing the service function chain towards a destination, and is configured to provide charging data related to the service function. A receiver receives collective charging data provided by the plurality of service functions, the collective charging data includes charging data for a plurality of services associated with a user packet. A charging controller controls charging for the plurality of services associated with the user packet based on the collective charging data.
Late stage call setup management
A method for revenue assurance in a telephone network. The method comprises receiving a call request from a first user device on a network to a second user device, where the user device associated with a first user account has an account credit value insufficient to complete the requested call. A call timer duration is set to instantly expire on encountering a chargeable event. The call is continued toward the second user device. Upon encountering a chargeable event, the call is released. The chargeable event may be presenting a Ring Back Tone to the caller and confirming that the second device is ringing. The chargeable event may be detecting when the call has been answered.
Method and system related to authentication of users for accessing data networks
A system and method for authenticating a user that requests access to services of a computer network, including using a unique communication address for authentication and identification. One of the methods includes globally assigning unique communication addresses to users and devices, the devices being uniquely associated with respective users. Unique communication addresses associate with the users are used for authenticating and identifying the users. A login function is used through the devices, the devices each being mapped to a unique communication address using a hardware identity configured for sending and receiving information over a network.
Credit control method, policy and charging enforcement function entity, and online charging system
Embodiments of the present invention provide a credit control method, a policy and charging enforcement function entity, and an online charging system. The method includes: if an OCS determines that a service borne by a second bearer may share a credit pool with a service borne by a first bearer, sending a second quota allocated to the second bearer and a credit pool identifier corresponding to the first bearer to the PCEF, so that the PCEF stores the second quota and a first quota in a same credit pool, so that the second bearer and the first bearer use the same credit pool, thereby implementing sharing of the credit pool between IP-CAN bearers and even between IP-CAN sessions, and ensuring smoothness of a service.
CHARGING FOR MTC SMALL DATA TRANSMISSION AND TRIGGER AT MTC-IWF
In order for charging SDT and MTC device trigger over control plane, there is provided a network node (40) that relays messages over a control plane (T5 and Tsp) between an MTC device (10) and an SCS (50). The network node (40) counts the number of messages successfully relayed, and generates a CDR in accordance with the counted number. The messages are SDT messages delivered from the MTC device (10) to the SCS (50), SDT messages delivered from the SCS (50) to the MTC device (10), or MTC device trigger messages delivered from the SCS (50) to the MTC device (10). The network node (40) transfers the CDR to an OCF (31) or a CDF (32).
Method and system for managing user location information in a communication system
A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, receive a subscription from an application server where the subscription identifies a session event and/or sub-events occurring in a communication session for which the application server requests user location information, provide subscription information based on the subscription to core network nodes of the mobile communications network, receive user location information from the core network nodes responsive to a detection of a triggering event corresponding to the session event of the subscription, and provide the user location information to an IP multimedia subsystem network for delivery to the application server. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Device and Process for Data Throttling for Wireless Device
The disclosure provides a system and method for controlling on a wireless device the amount and speed of data transferred between a wireless device and the Internet, and a wireless device with a metering client that can throttle data speeds and types based on how much data a user has used. Specifically, the wireless device includes a metering client to track one of data usage or an amount of prepaid data available. When the metering client determines that the amount of data available has exceeded a pre-determined threshold, the wireless device inhibits further data transmission amounts and speeds.
Charging method and device, access device, service quality control method and device
Embodiments disclose a charging method and device. In present embodiments, according to an application identifier carried in a content request, an application indicated by the application identifier is learned, and it is learned that the content request is triggered by using the application. In this way, according to the embodiments of the present embodiments, a charging request indicating traffic generated by requested content and the foregoing application may be sent to a charging device.
