Multicast packet replication method
A replication list table structure for multicast packet replication is provided. The replication list table structure includes a plurality of entries. Each one of the plurality of entries includes a first field, a second field, a third field and a fourth field. For each one of the plurality of entries, the first field is used to declare whether the entry is an end of a program execution, the second field is used to declare the fourth field as a first type field for indicating a switch how to modify a header of a multicast packet, or as a second type field for indicating the switch, while reading the list, to jump to another one of the plurality entries, and the third field is preset to the first type field for indicating the switch how to modify the header of the multicast packet.
Apparatus and method for configuring a control message in a broadcast system
An apparatus and a method for providing information used for generating and consuming multimedia content in a broadcast system supporting a multimedia service based on an Internet protocol are provided. The method includes composing a message type field containing information indicating on a type of control information contained in the control message, composing a length field containing information on the length of the control message, composing optional fields having different values according to the type of the control information, and composing a payload field containing content of the control information.
METHOD OF MULTIMEDIA BROADCAST/MULTICAST SERVICE (MBMS) DELIVERY MODE SWITCH
Delivery mode switching between unicast and multicast/broadcast is described. A WTRU may move from a RAN node that supports multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) session to one that does not support MBMS session, or vice versa. In order to avoid duplicated packet transmission, the unicast delivery mode may be deactivated when the WTRU decides to use multi-cast/broadcast session. When the multicast/broadcast session is not available, the WTRU may re-activate the unicast delivery mode for MBMS. For example, the PDU session for unicast delivery mode deactivation may be released and the PDU session for unicast delivery mode reactivation may be re-established. Such activity may necessitate additional signaling between WTRU and the network for PDU session establishment/release and all other services running in the PDU session may be interrupted.
Centralized status monitoring in a multidomain network
A system for centralized status monitoring in a multidomain network. The system includes at least one processor and at least one memory device storing instructions that when executed configure the processor to perform operations. The operations include establishing connections with domains, receiving a first request from a first domain to initiate a monitoring operation, and generating a new entry in a status table stored in a first database. The operations also may include receiving a second request from the second domain to update the monitoring operation and, in response to receiving the second request, updating the new entry in the status table by modifying the status field. The operations may also include applying a monitor operation in response to receiving a third request from a monitoring engine and generating an alert comprising entries in the status table in which the status field matches the category status.
ELECTRONIC EVENT FACILITATING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for operating an event with an online conferencing component. The methods comprise: receiving, by a feedback processing system, a user input selecting an event from a plurality of scheduled events which each have an online conferencing component provided by a web conferencing service; enabling, by the feedback processing system, an electronic feedback message composing function and a numerical rating selection function for a duration of time determined based on a duration setting of a timer; performing, by the feedback processing system, the electronic feedback message composing function to compose an electronic feedback message for an individual associated with the selected event; and performing, by the feedback processing system, the numerical rating selection function to select a numerical rating for the individual associated with the selected event.
System and method for automatic migration of poller proxy services in a service bus environment
In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for automatic migration of poller proxy services in a service bus environment. A singleton service framework component keeps a poller singleton application running on any of the managed servers in the cluster. The poller singleton application is registered with a cluster change listener, which listens for any state change in the cluster. Each poller proxy service is homogeneously deployed on each managed server in the cluster, and is associated with a poller engine configured to run on a particular managed server. When a managed server fails, the poller singleton application can migrate each poller engine configured to run on the failed managed server, to a running managed server, based on a preferred server list of the poller proxy service associated with that poller engine.
Digital television network structure and user terminal
This invention discloses a digital TV broadcast system coordinated with a broadband communication network, an information transmission network in which the broadcast system is applied, a digital TV heterogeneous network architecture, and a client terminal used in each of the above network systems. The various broadcast system architectures of the invention adopt the design concept of heterogeneous network which integrates a broadcast network with other networks, for example, a communication network, the Internet and the like, to form a heterogeneous network architecture coordinating various networks. Meanwhile, the usage in bad conditions are taken into account, and a broadcast TV system which enables uplink transmission by using a broadcast link is designed. The terminal of the invention is a terminal applicable in these heterogeneous network architectures, is capable of receiving signals transmitted from various networks, and can enable flexible receiving and access modes with a series of control means. The network system and client terminal of the invention can achieve an optimized allocation of network resources, save spectrum resources, and enable optimized transmission and management of information resources.
ASYMMETRIC MULTI-DESTINATION TRAFFIC REPLICATION IN OVERLAY NETWORKS
Presented herein are hybrid approaches to multi-destination traffic forwarding in overlay networks that can be used to facilitate interoperability between head-end-replication-support network devices (i.e., those that only use head-end-replication) and multicast-support network devices (i.e., those that only use native multicast). By generally using existing tunnel end-points (TEPs) supported functionality for sending multi-destination traffic and enhancing the TEPs to receive multi-destination traffic with the encapsulation scheme they do not natively support, the presented methods and systems minimize the required enhancements to achieve interoperability and circumvents any hard limitations that the end-point hardware may have. The present methods and systems may be used with legacy hardware that are commissioned or deployed as well as new hardware that are configured with legacy protocols.
Apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals, apparatus for receiving broadcast signals, method for transmitting broadcast signals and method for receiving broadcast signals
An apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals, an apparatus for receiving broadcast signals, a method for transmitting broadcast signals, and a method for receiving broadcast signals are disclosed. A method for receiving a broadcast signal comprising receiving a broadcast signal, parsing a second packet at the received broadcast signal, parsing the first packet using the fixed header and/or the extended header and displaying broadcast contents by processing the parsed first packet is disclosed.
Secure conferencing device
A secure conferencing device operating in a host or a guest mode. In host mode, the secure conferencing device coupled to an interactive digital signage (IDS) device, grants conference control to a host computer of the IDS device. The secure conferencing device receives a guest control signal and a guest video stream from a guest device, where the secure conferencing device prevents the guest control signal from being communicated to the host computer, yet transmits the guest video stream to the host computer for display on the IDS device. In the guest mode, the secure conferencing device grants conference control to a guest device, enables the guest device to affect a component of the IDS device, but does not enable the guest device to communicate guest control signals to the host computer of the IDS device.
