A C-RAN includes a plurality of remote units (RUs), each being configured to exchange RF signals with at least one UE. The C-RAN also includes a central unit communicatively coupled to the plurality of RUs via a fronthaul interface. The central unit is configured to determine sets of data to be sent to a plurality of remote units across the fronthaul interface. The central unit is also configured to determine a mapping of each of the sets of data to at least one of the plurality of remote units. The central unit is also configured to add a respective indicator, based on the mapping, to each set of data, wherein each respective indicator indicates each remote unit that the respective set of data is intended for. The central unit is also configured to broadcast the sets of data, each with the respective indicator, to the plurality of remote units.
Multicast Expert System Information Dissemination System And Method
Multicast expert system information dissemination systems and methods making use of artificial intelligence are provided. The systems and methods include a wireless device for receiving RF multicast information messages from a content provider wherein said information is descriptive of objects potentially of interest to users of the device. Received multicast messages may include information parameters about objects of potentially interest to the user. The wireless device also includes a knowledge base prestored in the wireless device descriptive of the user's level of interest in various objects. Artificial intelligence expert system control is used to evaluate a combination of the user's level of interest in the object information and distance from the user to the location where the object may be obtained. The artificial intelligence expert system derives a user advisory action index. In one embodiment the artificial intelligence may be implemented using fuzzy logic inference engine apparatus.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORD MEDIUM FOR PROVIDING MULTIPLE GROUP CALLS IN ONE CHATROOM
Disclosed is a method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable record medium for providing a plurality of group calls in a single chatroom. A group call providing method including receiving, by the at least one processor, information about a plurality of group call channels generated in response to a first request from at least one member included in a chatroom, from a server, providing, by the at least one processor, a group call channel list about the plurality of group call channels through the chatroom based on the information about the plurality of group call channels, and starting, by the at least one processor, a group call through a specific group call channel, from among the plurality of group call channels, in response to receiving a second request for joining the specific group call channel through the group call channel list may be provided.
LOCALIZED MULTICAST IN A LOW POWER AND LOSSY NETWORK BASED ON RANK-BASED DISTANCE
In one embodiment, a method comprises: identifying, by a low power and lossy network (LLN) device in a low power and lossy network, a minimum distance value and a distance limit value for limiting multicast propagation, initiated at the LLN device, of a multicast data message in the LLN; and multicast transmitting, by the LLN device, the multicast data message with a current distance field specifying the minimum distance value and a distance limit field specifying the distance limit value, the multicast transmitting causing a receiving LLN device having a corresponding rank in the LLN to respond to the multicast data message by: (1) determining an updated distance based on adding to the current distance field a rank difference between the receiving LLN device and the LLN device, and (2) selectively retransmitting the multicast data message if the updated distance is less than the distance limit value.

Method and System for Enabling Videoconferencing with Legal Counsel
A method and system for enabling a user to video conference with legal counsel during traffic stops or other interactions with law enforcement. The method may include the steps of presenting, on the user's computing device, an option to the user to request a video conference with a legal representative; receiving, from the user's computing device, a first request for a video conference, wherein the first request includes user location information based on the user's location; identifying a legal representative by determining whether the user location information corresponds to legal representative location information association with the legal representative; transmitting a second request to the legal representative; and initiating a video conference in response to the legal representative accepting the second request.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND REVENUE GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method of allowing guests of events to interact with one another. A user of an event system may log into the event system and create a user profile to be utilized in the event system. The user may create an event with the event system. The event may include a geo-fence surrounding a location of the event, which may be customized by the user of the event system. The event may be a public event or a private event. The user of the event system may create an event poster of the event, which may include details of the event, the location of the event, the ability to invite the guests to the event, and the ability to bookmark the event. The user of the event system may invite at least some of the plurality of users to be the guests of the event. The geo-location of the guests of the event may also be determined. The guests of the event may be allowed to access features of the event, which may include direct messaging, guest profiles, and friend requests when the geo-location of the guests is within the geo-fence of the event. The features of the event may include direct messaging, guest profiles, and friend requests. The media content of the guests of the event being organized into galleries. The system and method may include monetization tools for utilizing features of the event system. The event system may charge users and guests of the event system depending on the type of service provided.
Geocast-based situation awareness
Geocast-based situation awareness utilizing a scalable, distributed ad hoc geocast protocol as a communication primitive, may provide a field common operating picture (FCOP) for providing location tracking, movement history, telemetry, and messaging in near real time to all operators in a scenario. Information may be transferred using a query/response geocast message protocol. Caching on devices may be utilized to gain scalability. A query message may have a payload containing a type indication and a header containing a description of a geocast region of intended reception, which may comprise the monitored region, the location of the monitorer, or any appropriate combination thereof. Response messages may be sent from devices located in the monitored region to an area containing the location of the sender of a query. A response message may contain monitored information, such as current location, telemetry data, and/or recent movement history, or the like.
CAPTURING, COMPOSING AND SENDING A TARGETED MESSAGE TO NEARBY USERS REQUESTING ASSISTANCE OR OTHER REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION FROM INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANIZATIONS
The method and system described herein is directed to a system and method for capturing, collecting, providing and sending targeted messages, such as text or multimedia, to individual users or groups of users on a network based on their location and proximity to an incident, concern or perceived threat.
Directed broadcast in network fabric
This technology enables directed broadcasts in network fabrics. To enable a directed broadcast, a control plane node is configured to resolve directed broadcast addresses by mapping the directed broadcast address to a subnet address associated with the network fabric. A fabric border node receives a directed broadcast, extracts a destination address associated with the directed broadcast, and transmits a request to the control plane node to resolve the destination address. The control plane node retrieves the stored mapping and generates a map reply to the fabric border node with a multicast destination comprising the network fabric subnet address. The fabric border node encapsulates the directed broadcast with a header comprising the multicast destination and forwards the encapsulated directed broadcast to fabric edge nodes, which decapsulate the directed broadcast and deliver a data set from the directed broadcast to appropriate end point devices.
