The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for group update, and a method and an apparatus for sending a message. The method for group update includes: obtaining a location group for a target area; obtaining dynamic update period of the location group; at each time point determined according to the dynamic update period, obtaining a target location of a target group object in the location group, and querying whether a business object not belonging to the location group exists within the target area; and updating the target group object in the location group according to the obtained target location and a query result. The method and the apparatus for group update and the method and the apparatus for sending a message provided by the present disclosure may implement dynamic update of the group object, and may reduce workloads and costs of group maintenance.
Multicast traffic in a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN)
Multicast traffic in a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN). In some embodiments, a method is provided. The method includes registering a network device as a virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN) tunnel endpoint (VTEP) of a VXLAN. The VXLAN includes an overlay network and the overlay network is implemented on an underlay network. The method also includes receiving multicast traffic from the multicast source. The method further includes transmitting the multicast traffic to one or more multicast receivers using the underlay network.
DECT network clustering method
A DECT network clustering method includes sending, by a DECT host to a router, a multicast command that declares joining a specified multicast group; sending, by a DECT device to the router, a multicast probe message sent to a target multicast group; receiving, by the router, the multicast command and the multicast probe message, and sending, to the DECT host according to the multicast command, the multicast probe message; receiving, by the DECT host, the multicast probe message, and sending status declaration information to the DECT device; receiving, by the DECT device, the status declaration information, and initiating a TCP connection request to the DECT host in a point-to-point manner; and receiving, by the DECT host, the connection request from the DECT device, and establishing a TCP channel with the DECT device.
Overlay IP multicast over unicast IP networks
Implementations generally relate to data transmission in networks. In some implementations, a method includes receiving a first management protocol message from a first edge device, where the first management protocol message includes first edge device information associated with the first edge device, receiver device information associated with a receiver device, and a request by the receiver device to receive multicast data. The method also includes receiving a second management protocol message from a second edge device, where the second management protocol message includes second edge device information associated with the second edge device and sender device information associated with a sender device. The method also includes enabling unicast communication between the sender device and the receiver device based on the first management protocol message and the second management protocol message.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING A MULTICAST SERVICE TO CONFIGURE A CONTROLLING DEVICE
A signature comprised of a plurality of data blocks formatted in accordance with a multicast communications protocol is received from a target appliance. When it is determined that one or more of the plurality of data blocks has been populated with user data, a representation of at least a portion of signature is provided to an analytics engine for processing whereby the user data within the one or more of the plurality of data blocks is replaced with a predicted, original data. The predicted, original data is then usable to provision a controlling device with a command code set for use in communicating commands to the target appliance.
GROUP TYPE IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS, COMPUTER DEVICE, AND MEDIUM
This application discloses a group type identification method and apparatus, a computer device, and a medium, and belongs to the field of computer technologies. A computer device acquires a first graph structure feature of a first target graph and first user features of a plurality of first user nodes in the first target graph; acquires an attention parameter of each first user node based on the first graph structure feature and the plurality of first user features; selects a plurality of second user nodes from the plurality of first user nodes; identifies a group type of the target group based on first user features of the plurality of second user nodes and a second graph structure feature of a second target graph, so that the target group is identified according to a user feature of a selected important user node and the graph structure feature, thereby improving identification accuracy.
Method and apparatus for group content delivery
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for group content delivery. A method in a communication network which comprises the content provider node and a broadcast-multicast service node, wherein the content provider node needs to deliver a message to a group of user equipments via the broadcast multicast service node. The method comprises obtaining one or more group identifiers. The method further comprises sending the one or more group identifiers to the broadcast-multicast service node.
Group acknowledgement in a wireless communication network
A system includes a server, a plurality of end devices, and at least one gathering gateway serving as a relay between the server and the end devices. The server creates at least one group and allocates end devices to each group created; defines, for each group, instances of a group reception window separated by a period so as to occur at deterministic instants; receives uplink frames coming from end devices; for such end device allocated to a group, acknowledges the uplink frames received in a downlink frame transmitted in multicast mode, in such group reception window defined for said group, said downlink frame including a group acknowledgement for all the uplink frames sent by end devices of the group during the period preceding said instance of the group reception window; and, for such end device that is not allocated to a group, acknowledges the uplink frames received in unicast mode.
Multicast group creation method, multicast group joining method, and apparatus
A multicast group creation method, a multicast group joining method, and an apparatus, where the multicast group creation method includes: a user multicast source terminal sending a first request message to a first control plane network element to request creation of a multicast group; the first control plane network element sending a second request message to a second control plane network element to request creation of the multicast group; the second control plane network element determining that a next-hop user plane network element of the second user plane network element is a first user plane network element, and then sending information about the first user plane network element to the first control plane network element, which indicates the second user plane network element to send a multicast packet received from the terminal to the first user plane network element.
PROTOCOL INDEPENDENT MULTICAST (PIM) DESIGNATED ROUTER (DR) ELECTION
In one embodiment, a method is performed. A device may include an interface in communication with a network. The device may determine whether an all-active multi-homed ethernet segment (ES) associated with the interface is enabled. On a condition that an all-active multi-homed ES is enabled, the device may determine an ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) designated forwarder (DF) state of the all-active multi-homed ES. If the all-active multi-homed ES is enabled and has an ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) designated forwarder (DF) state, the device may enter a protocol independent multicast (PIM) designated router (DR) state. If an all-active multi-homed ES is enabled and does not have an EVPN DF state, the device may enter a PIM non-DR state.
