CONVERTING PRIVATE CHANNELS TO PUBLIC CHANNELS
The present disclosure is related to virtual spaces, such as channels, of a communication platform. In some cases, a channel may be designated as a private channel, which may permit access to the private channel by only users joined to the channel and may restrict/prevent access by all other users. The present disclosure is related to solutions for changing the private channel to a public channel, which may allow additional user accounts that were not associated with the private channel to discover and/or access the converted channel.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING A MOBILE DEVICE AS AN INPUT DEVICE FOR SURVEYS AT A LIVE EVENT
A method is provided for interacting with audience members in an event, each of the potential attendees having available thereto a unique identifier. The method comprises creating, for an attendee, a unique ID (UID) on a mobile wireless device (MWD) by the steps of inputting to the MWD one of the unique identifiers, combining the obtained unique identifier with a UID time stamp at the time of creation of the UID; receiving with a server on a first wireless channel communications from the MWD; registering the UID at the physical location of the event; generating a visual query; displaying on the MWD response indicators; receiving at the server from the registered attendee a response, to the query over the first wireless channel; and storing in a database on the server the received response in association with the displayed query.
Methods and systems for transmitting highlights of sporting events to communication devices
A highlight transmission service allows users of communication devices to view highlights of sporting events while the sporting events are occurring without having to watch the sporting events. For example, a computer-implemented method may comprise: determining that a highlight of a sporting event is to be conveyed to a communication device; and transmitting data regarding the highlight of the sporting event to the communication device over a network during the sporting event in order to allow a user of the communication device to view the highlight of the sporting event.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING ELECTRONIC EVENT ATTENDANCE MODE RECOMMENDATIONS
Systems and methods include providing a recommendation for an attendance mode for a user to select when invited to an event through a calendaring application. Systems and methods include processing event and user data with a neural network configured to output a recommended attendance mode.
Enhanced data sharing to and between mobile device users
A method of enhancing data sharing between mobile or other computing device users includes receiving a submission request generated by user interaction with a first user interface on a first computing device, the submission request including content and associated submission data indicative of a recipient of the content, and updating a second user interface on a second computing device associated with the recipient to make the content available for display. The method may include sending a push notification to the second computing device indicating that the content is available for display for a period of time.
Smart Speaker Media Network System and Method
A system receives smart speaker skill/application generation information generates a first smart speaker skill or application using the smart speaker skill/application generation information, receives at least one scheduled post to schedule at least one briefing at a scheduled time to be broadcast to a first plurality of smart speaker devices having the first smart speaker skill or application, receives tracking and analytics information from each smart speaker in the first plurality of smart speaker devices having the first smart speaker skill or application, and determines an audience for the at least one briefing comprising the first plurality of smart speaker devices having the first smart speaker skill or application and a second plurality of smart speaker devices having a second smart speaker skill or application different from the first smart speaker skill or application based on the tracking and analytics information.
Snippet(s) of content associated with a communication platform
Snippets of content associated with a communication platform are described. In an example, based at least in part on a determination, by the communication platform, that a user of the communication platform is permitted to access one or more snippets of content provided by one or more other users of the communication platform, causing one or more user interface elements associated with the one or more snippets of content to be presented via a user interface of a user computing device of the user. The communication platform can receive, from the user computing device, a request to view a snippet of content of the one or more snippets of content and can cause the snippet of content to be presented by the user computing device via the user interface associated with the communication platform.
Server device configured to transmit a message received from a publisher device to one or more subscriber devices based on the message type and condition associated therewith
A server device includes a communication interface configured to communicate with one or more publisher devices and one or more subscriber devices. A memory stores data indicating message types to be issued by the publisher devices. Each message type is stored in association with both a condition for filtering messages of the message type and a subscriber device destination for messages of the message type meeting the condition. A processor is configured to determine whether a message meets a condition associated with the message type, and transmit the message to the subscriber devices indicated by the corresponding destination information when the condition is met.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SENDING A PUSH CONTENT
A terminal receiving a push message is provided. The terminal sets service control condition which specifies application identifier (app ID) corresponding to service that the terminal is allowed to receive, wherein the service control condition is contained in push message control policy. And the terminal then receives a push message, matching the push message control policy, sent by a server.
GENERATION, CURATION, AND PRESENTATION OF MEDIA COLLECTIONS
Systems and methods are provided for receiving input increasing a default predetermined window of time that the new media collection is accessible and activating the new media collection for the increased predetermined window of time and a geographic boundary size for where media content originates. The systems and methods further cause a plurality of content messages comprising media content originating in the geographical boundary size to be included in the new media collection and displayed in response to a request from a computing device to view the new media collection based on determining the request occurs within the increased predetermined window of time that the new media collection is accessible.
