Message processing method and electronic device implementing same
Various embodiments provide an electronic device and a method, the electronic device comprising a memory, a communication module, a display, and a processor functionally connected to the memory, the communication module, or the display, wherein the processor is set to determine whether a message received through the communication module includes a message display time and to determine whether to display the message by requesting a message service server to check whether to display the received message when a current time approaches the message display time. In addition, other embodiments are also possible.
Multicast service processing method and access device
A multicast service processing method and an access device. In the method, an access device receives an on-demand request; the access device separately sends the on-demand request to a multicast source device through a first uplink port of the access device and a second uplink port of the access device, so that the multicast source device sends a first multicast packet and a second multicast packet based on the on-demand request; the access device receives the first multicast packet through the first uplink port of the access device, and receives the second multicast packet through the second uplink port of the access device; the access device obtains a multicast data stream based on attribute information of the first multicast packet and attribute information of the second multicast packet; and the access device sends the obtained multicast data stream to the program terminal.
System and method for transmitting messages related to operations of electronic devices
A system and method are provided for transmitting messages related to operations of electronic devices. A management apparatus is notified of an event that occurred in a specific one of a plurality of electronic devices. The management apparatus determines one or more target devices in response to notification of the event that occurred in the specific electronic device. An event message corresponding to the event that occurred in the specific electronic device is created. The management apparatus transmits the event message to the one or more target devices. The one or more target devices output the received event message.
Subscription based event notifications
Systems and methods for providing targeted event notifications to subscribers are disclosed. In an example embodiment, events may be received from a publisher. The events may be categorized into a plurality of topics. The events may be distributed among brokers to process a topic selected from the plurality of topics based on the events. Further, it may be determined whether the topic exists in a list of topics handled by the brokers. Authentication credentials of the publisher may be validated, based on the determination. Based on the validation, queues of the events may be formed based on an order of receipt of the events. The events present in the queues may be filtered based on subscriptions of the events. For the fileted events, targeted even notifications may be forwarded to the subscribers.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING CONTENT FILES USING A COMPUTER SYSTEM AND DATA NETWORK
A system for distributing digital content obtained from a variety of sources in a variety of formats is described that utilizes a content distribution system configured to receive and store the content files, convert the content file both into a standardized format file and into a thumbnail file, and associate the content with one or more tags that can signify characteristics or relevant facts about the content file. Users of the system select one or more tags on their remote devices in order that the content distribution system automatically transmit to the remote device thumbnail images of those content files that match the selected tags. Users can then select the thumbnail image in order to cause the system to transmit to the remote device the standardized format version of the content.
Content set based deltacasting
Methods, apparatuses, and systems are provided for improving utilization of the satellite communications system through various “deltacasting” techniques for handling content sets (e.g., feeds or websites). Embodiments operate in a client-server context, including a server optimizer, a client optimizer, and, in some embodiments, a pre-positioning client. Within this client-server context, content sets are multicast (e.g., anticipatorily pre-positioned in a local dictionary) to end users of the communications system and are handled at the content set level, according to set-level metadata and/or user preferences. In some embodiments, when locally stored information from the content sets is requested by a user, deltacasting techniques are used to generate fingerprints for use in identifying and exploit multicasting and/or other opportunities for increased utilization of links of the communications system.
System and method for providing a content distribution network
The present disclosure relates to a system and method for providing a content distribution network. In an embodiment, the system and method helps organizations share content as a content source, and manage multiple feeds of content from various other content sources, keeping specific information private while integrating shared updates. For example, the content may be local business information kept by numerous different organizations for their own locality. By sharing this location information through a shared content distribution network, the organizations are able to update the location information of their users and obtain a higher quality of data. In an embodiment, an organization may prioritize the content in a private feed in order to override crowd sourced external data.
Using a polygon to select a geolocation
Selecting a geolocation using a polygon is disclosed. User input is received. One or more polygons used to define an audience are determined based at least in part on the received user input. At least one polygon is displayed. Content is sent to the audience defined by the polygon in response to a received confirmation of the at least one polygon.
Multimedia messaging service communication using a two way push connection
Systems and methods for generating and transmitting multimedia messaging service (MMS) messages are disclosed. In some implementations, a mobile device presents, at a touchscreen, a visual user interface. The visual user interface includes multiple thumbnails and multiple contact blocks. Each thumbnail identifies a file. Each contact block identifies a contact having a messaging address. The mobile device receives, via the touchscreen, a selection of a first thumbnail from the multiple thumbnails. The mobile device receives, via the touchscreen, an indication of dragging the first thumbnail across the visual user interface to a first contact block. The mobile device transmits, responsive to the dragging of the first thumbnail to the first contact block, the file identified in the thumbnail to the messaging address of the contact identified in the first contact block.
METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING SERVER AND ASSOCIATED COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A method for remotely controlling a server includes: receiving a push message, in which the push message represents that an operation of the server is suspended; showing a control interface on a screen of a cellular phone when receiving a user's click command; and when receiving a user's control command from the control interface, transmitting a control signal to the server according to the user's control command, in which the control signal is used to inform the server about a following strategy of the operation, to make the server continue performing the operation or terminate the operation.
