Systems and methods for reducing condensation in refrigerated cases
A method for reducing sweating in a temperature-controlled display device includes receiving values of an ambient temperature, a door frame temperature, and relative humidity. The method can also include estimating a value of a dewpoint temperature using the values of the ambient temperature and the relative humidity. The method can also include determining control decisions for a door frame heater of the temperature-controlled display device using the value of the dewpoint temperature and the door frame temperature, and transitioning the door frame heater between an on-state and an off-state using the control decisions to maintain the value of the door frame temperature at or above the value of the dewpoint temperature.
Gesture Operated Refrigerated Display Case
A display case includes multiple walls that define an inner volume, a door, a door actuator, a gesture sensor, and a controller. The door is transitionable between an open position for access to the inner volume and a closed position. The door actuator is configured to transition the door between the open position and the closed position. The gesture sensor is configured to detect a gesture performed by a user. The controller includes a processing circuit configured to obtain sensor data from the gesture sensor that indicates the gesture performed by the user. The processing circuit is further configured to determine if the user has performed a reference gesture using the sensor data. The processing circuit is further configured to operate the door actuator to transition the door between the open position and the closed position in response to determining that the user has performed the reference gesture.
SHOWCASE WITH TWO-STORY STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a showcase with a two-story structure including: a body having an upper story storage chamber with a top opening formed on top thereof and first cold air introduction holes formed on the side surfaces thereof and a lower story storage chamber separately disposed adjacent to the underside of the upper story storage chamber and with a front opening formed on front thereof and second cold air introduction holes formed on the side surfaces thereof; upper doors for opening and closing the top opening of the upper story storage chamber; and drawers for slidingly opening and closing the front opening of the lower story storage chamber, so that the upper story storage chamber and the lower story storage chamber are separated up and down to have different temperatures distributed thereto, thereby sortedly storing a variety of foods or products with different storage characteristics from one another therein, and the front opening of the lower story storage chamber is open and closed by means of the drawers, thereby providing many conveniences of use.
DOOR FOR MOUNTING A REMOVABLE ELECTRONIC DISPLAY
In one general aspect, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a display case door that includes an insulated panel assembly, a door frame, and an electronic display mounted to the door. The door frame extends about and is secured to a peripheral edge of the insulated panel assembly. The electronic display overlays the insulated panel assembly. A mounting bezel is secured to the door frame and has a coupling end that extends over an edge of the electronic display securing the electronic display to the door frame. A cover bezel is coupled to a front surface of the door frame, where the cover bezel is sized to overlay the front surface of the door frame and the coupling end of the mounting bezel.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator including: a main body forming a storage compartment and a door provided to open and close the storage compartment, wherein the door includes a door frame, a cover arranged in front of the door frame and including a cover fixer, and a door panel arranged in front of the cover, the door panel including a first fixer and a second fixer on a rear surface of the door panel. When the door panel is coupled to a front side of the cover, the first fixer is coupled to the door frame and the second fixer is coupled to the cover.
Lighting assembly for electronic display and graphic
A transparent electronic display layer is placed between a front and rear transparent layer. A light guide is positioned behind the transparent electronic display layer and has an outer edge. Lighting elements are positioned adjacent to the outer edge. A cavity is positioned adjacent to and on an opposing side of the lighting elements as compared to the light guide such that light exiting the lighting elements enters both the light guide and the cavity. A graphic may be provided at the cavity.
Thermal frame
The invention features a refrigerator cabinet door frame. The frame includes a thermally conductive outer frame, a thermally insulating inner frame member, and a sealing plate. The outer frame member includes a forward end having an outer surface that is disposed outside of a refrigerated cabinet with the frame mounted, and a rearward end defining a joint. The inner frame member includes a first end retained in the joint, and a second end. The sealing plate includes a first edge coupled to the outer frame member at the rearward end, forward of the joint, a second edge supported by the second end of the inner frame member, and a thermally conductive sealing surface. The first edge of the sealing plate is coupled to the outer frame member such that the sealing surface and the outer surface of the outer frame member together form a continuous heat transfer path.
DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR REFRIGERATED DISPLAY CASE
A display system for a refrigerated display case includes a door assembly which permits access to a product storage compartment. The door assembly includes an electronic display layer positioned within an enclosure defined by a front cover layer, a rear cover layer, and a spacer extending about a perimeter of interior surfaces of the front and rear cover layers. The front cover layer permits viewing of images displayed at the electronic display layer through the front cover layer. Electronic equipment for operating the electronic display layer is located outside of the enclosure.
Display case door with door handle camera
In one general aspect, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a display case door that includes a transparent panel and a door handle coupled to the transparent panel. The handle includes a camera that is coupled to the handle. The camera is positioned such that a field of view of the camera is aimed away from the transparent panel. The handle includes an aperture opposite the camera lens. The aperture receives a power cable extending away from the camera to a power source.
