COMMUNICATION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION USING FEEBACK

Communication devices are provided that facilitate receiving information units and providing feedback to other communication devices.

Beamforming multicast repeater

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless repeater may receive a unicast transmission and may relay the unicast transmission as a multicast transmission to a set of user equipments (UEs). Transmitting the multicast transmission may involve retransmitting the unicast transmission or a signal derived from the unicast transmission in each of a set of beamforming directions. The multicast transmission may be transmitted over multiple antenna arrays or a single antenna array associated with a Butler matrix. Additionally or alternatively, the wireless repeater may receive transmissions from multiple UEs; may form an aggregated signal associated with the received transmissions; and may transmit a unicast transmission associated with the aggregated signal, such as to a base station. The multiple UE transmissions may be received over multiple antenna arrays or over a single antenna array associated with a Butler matrix.

Broadcast response method and system

A system and method for broadcast response generally employing RDS, DARC, or similar technology is provided, including a method for responding to a broadcast comprising extracting an event identifier from a broadcast signal; detecting a response by a user to the broadcast signal; polling a communications device to determine a user identifier; and communicating the event identifier and the user identifier when the user response is detected.

Multimedia broadcast multicast service signaling and backward compatibility

Wireless communication systems and methods related to determining a new multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) configuration for a MBMS that is backward compatible with a legacy MBMS configurations. A base station determines a MBMS configuration. The MBMS configuration includes at least one non-optional field that indicates compatibility with a first user equipment (UE) having a first MBMS capability or compatibility with a second UE having a second MBMS capability. The MBMS configuration also includes a sub-carrier spacing indication for a MBMS corresponding to the first MBMS capability or the second MBMS capability. The MBMS configuration is broadcasted to the first UE and the second UE.

Local area network client participation in a network slice

This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for transmitting, to one or more local area network clients of the device, a multicast message indicating an available network slice, receiving, from a first local area network client of the one or more local area network clients based on the multicast message, a request to access the available network slice, establishing, at the device based on receiving the request, a connection associated with the available network slice, and transmitting, to the first local area network client based on establishing the connection, a confirmation to access the available network slice.

Locating and identifying paired electronic devices

An electronic device, method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium provide a function of locating and identifying a paired device in a wireless network. The wireless network communicatively connects a plurality of electronic devices including the electronic device and the paired device. The electronic device includes a user interface, a network interface, a hardware processor, and a non-transitory memory storing one or more programs. The hardware processor executes the programs to receive a search command using a first communication connection via the network interface. Moreover, the hardware processor executes the programs to determine whether the peer device identifying information matches identifying information of the electronic device. When the peer device identifying information matches the identifying information of the electronic device, the electronic device identifies as the paired device. Otherwise, the electronic device broadcasts to the wireless network using a second communication connection.

A Machine-to-machine (M2M) terminal (11) comprises a radio communication unit (111) and a controller (112). The radio communication unit (111) is configured to communicate with a base station (13). The controller (112) is configured to change at least one of a cell selection operation, a cell reselection operation, and a handover operation according to whether a specific coverage enhancement processing is required or according to whether the specific coverage enhancement processing is supported by at least one of a cell (13) in which the M2M terminal (11) camps on and a neighbouring cell (14) of the cell (13) which the M2M terminal (11) camps on. It is thus possible to provide an improved technique for allowing the M2M terminal that is supporting a special coverage enhancement processing for M2M terminals to camp on an appropriate cell.

Multicast communications for radio resource control modes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of multicast configurations for a set of multicast modes supported by the UE. Each multicast mode of the set of multicast modes may be associated with one or more radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may determine a multicast configuration of the set of multicast configurations based on an RRC state according to which the UE is operating. The UE may receive, while operating according to the RRC state, multicast data according to the determined multicast configuration.

A wireless conferencing system for wirelessly connecting a computerized device with a display device includes at least a data transmitter. The data transmitter includes a transmitter self-powered unit, a data transmission module electrically powered by the transmitter self-powered unit, and a computer interface communicatively lined to the data transmission module, wherein when the computer interface is configured for detachably connecting to the computerized device, the data transmission module is powered and ready for wirelessly transmitting data from the computerized device to the display device without consuming power of the computerized device.

Power saving in new radio multicast

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving a multicast bandwidth part configuration for multicast communications between a base station and the UE, where the multicast bandwidth part configuration includes a maximum number of multiple-input, multiple-output layers to be used for the multicast communications; establishing a multicast link with the base station for multicast communications; determining to use a reduced number of antennas for multicast reception than the number of antennas used for unicast reception, or determining that the UE is able to decode the multicast communications prior to a remaining portion of the multicast communications; and receiving the multicast communications via the reduced number of antennas, or reducing the radio frequency power prior to completion of a number of repetitions or retransmissions of the multicast communications.
