PROVISIONING AND OPERATING AN APPLICATION FOR STRUCTURED COMMUNICATIONS FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND EXTERNAL SYSTEM INTEGRATION
In a method of managing emergency management information within an observation platform an emergency management and response application is provisioned at an observation platform. The provisioning is administered by a cloud services platform and includes configuration and deployment of the emergency management and response application within the observation platform. A communicative connection is established, via a gateway of the cloud services platform, between the emergency management and response application and a system external to the observation platform. In response to receipt at the observation platform of a report of an emergency, operation of the emergency management and response application is triggered within the observation platform. Emergency management information is sent, via the emergency management and response application, to a group of users of the observation platform. The emergency management information includes at least one of an alert related to the emergency and instructions related to the emergency.
Centralized status monitoring in a multidomain network
A system for centralized status monitoring in a multidomain network. The system includes at least one processor and at least one memory device storing instructions that when executed configure the processor to perform operations. The operations include establishing connections with domains, receiving a first request from a first domain to initiate a monitoring operation, and generating a new entry in a status table stored in a first database. The operations also may include receiving a second request from the second domain to update the monitoring operation and, in response to receiving the second request, updating the new entry in the status table by modifying the status field. The operations may also include applying a monitor operation in response to receiving a third request from a monitoring engine and generating an alert comprising entries in the status table in which the status field matches the category status.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING VERTICAL APPLICATION LAYER SERVERS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for identifying vertical application layer (VAL) servers in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving notification related to a service enabler architecture layer (SEAL) event and identifying context related to the SEAL event. The context related to the SEAL event is correlated with information associated with at least one VAL server from a plurality of VAL servers. Based on the correlation, at least one target VAL server is selected. Thereafter, the notification related to the SEAL event is sent to the at least one target VAL server
CHANGE COMMENTS FOR SYNCHRONIZED CONTENT ITEMS
Described embodiments enable device users sharing content items via a content management system to view and modify content items within native applications on their client devices. In various embodiments, a client application detects a save operation on a content item and prompts a user to provide a comment based on changes to the content item. User comments and metadata are provided to a content management system to create a historical log that provides a comprehensive summary of user interactions with a content item, including comments regarding content item changes, version information , and timestamps. The content management system provides the comments and other log contents to client applications associated with other users sharing the content item. The client applications use the comments and log information to provide notitfications to the users regarding content item changes and comments by sharing users.
Notifications on a User Device Based on Activity Detected by an Activity Monitoring Device
Methods, systems and devices are provided for motion-activated display of messages on an activity monitoring device. In one embodiment, method for presenting a message on an activity monitoring device is provided, including the following method operations: downloading a plurality of messages to the device; detecting a stationary state of the device; detecting a movement of the device from the stationary state; in response to detecting the movement from the stationary state, selecting one of a plurality of messages, and displaying the selected message on the device.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSMITTING HIGHLIGHTS OF SPORTING EVENTS TO COMMUNICATION DEVICES
A highlight transmission service allows users of communication devices to view highlights of sporting events while the sporting events are occurring without having to watch the sporting events. For example, a computer-implemented method may comprise:
determining that a highlight of a sporting event is to be conveyed to a communication device; and transmitting data regarding the highlight of the sporting event to the communication device over a network during the sporting event in order to allow a user of the communication device to view the highlight of the sporting event.
CONTROLLING HEAT CAPABILITY OF APPLIANCE ACCORDING TO USER PROXIMITY AND NOTIFYING REMOTE USERS VIA INTERNET FOR INCREASED SAFETY
A stove controller starts an unattended timer when a cooking process is started. The controller monitors whether motion is detected in the kitchen prior to the unattended timer expiring and resets the unattended timer each time motion is detected. If the unattended timer expires without any motion being detected, the controller disables the heating elements of the stove and starts a return timer. The controller monitors whether motion is detected in the kitchen prior to the return timer expiring. When motion is detected, the controller automatically re-enables the heating elements of the stove so that cooking can continue. If motion is not detected and the return timer expires, the controller locks the stove until a reset procedure is performed. Alerts of the stove activity are sent to external devices over the Internet, and the reset procedure may be performed on the controller or on one of the external devices.
IDENTIFYING INFORMATION PERTINENT TO AN EMERGENT EVENT THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS
Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer readable media for identifying information pertinent to an emergent event through social media postings. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, in an emergency contact center, receiving a communication initiated by an individual in response to an emergent event and identifying the individual. The method further provides identifying social media data of the individual created prior to receiving the communication and extracting first data pertinent to the emergent event from the social media data.
VISUALIZATION OF AUDIO ANNOUNCEMENTS USING AUGMENTED REALITY
Approaches presented herein enable visualization of audio announcements using augmented reality (AR). Specifically, an audio system captures a set of broadcast audio announcements or messages at an originating location associated with a user as a set of audio files, which a speech-to-text transcriber transcribes to text. A natural language processing tool analyzes the transcribed text to determine, for each announcement, whether the announcement is relevant to the user. Relevant announcements are forwarded to a mobile device of the user. The user may access, in an AR environment, the set of announcements via a set of icons to display text of an announcement or to play audio of an announcement.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE AND APPARATUS TO MONITOR AUDITING DEVICES
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to monitor auditing devices. An example apparatus includes a workload analyzer to obtain alert data related to a potential new product from an auditing device, and a product analyzer to identify a product within the alert data to determine if the product has been previously identified by another auditing device. In response to determining that the product has not been previously identified, the example apparatus includes an alert analyzer to cluster the alert data based on characteristics associated with an auditor profile of the auditing device, and determine a probability of transmitting the alert data to other auditing devices based on the clustered alert data. The example apparatus also includes an alert authorizer to suppress the alert data from being transmitted to the other auditing devices to reduce an amount of network resources required for subsequent processing when the probability does not satisfy a threshold.
