DEVICE CONTROL MESSAGING GROUP
A device control method is provided. In the method, a first message is received from a first device of a device messaging group. The first device is associated with a first identifier in the device messaging group. The first message indicates at least one of a state of the first device or detected environment information. A second message is generated based on the first message received from the first device. The second message is sent to a second device of the device messaging group. The second device is associated with a second identifier in the device messaging group.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE IN A SMART HOME SYSTEM
A computer implemented method in a smart home system is provided. The method comprises defining, by sensing an indoor position of a wearable electronic device comprising an indoor positioning module, an area in a real-world indoor environment, and attributing a rule to the defined area, the rule comprising one or more settings to be applied to one or more electronic devices upon a user being detected in the defined area.
Systems, methods, apparatus and media for use in association with scheduling
In at least one aspect, a method comprises: receiving information associated with a plurality of scheduled actions, each of the plurality of scheduled actions defining a device to be controlled, an action to be carried out with respect to the device to be controlled, a scheduled day on which to carry out the scheduled action and a scheduled time of day to carry out the scheduled action on the scheduled day; determining a chronological ordering that indicates a chronological order in which at least a subset of the plurality of scheduled actions are scheduled to be carried out; generating a view based at least in part on the chronological ordering; and displaying the generated view. Such methods may be performed or implemented by various devices, apparatuses and/or systems.
Control system
A powerful direct digital control (DDC) and integration control platform that is scalable and easy to use and meet building owners and contractors' desires for a highly secure and robust technical solution. One may combine heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) DDC control with the embedded workstation platform, and DDC controllers with embedded workstation platform software design. An embedded workstation platform event-driven approach (such as a Windows operating system (OS) or Unix OS environment) is not necessarily easily suited to real-time common in HVAC DDC control. The present system may solve an issue of combining high-power event needs for HVAC DDC Controls.
System and method for controlling operation of consumption appliances
A method is disclosed for controlling the operating of a consumption appliance by way of a selector switch controlled by an energy saving device connected to a management center. The consumption appliance is kept in its default power mode, until receiving, by the energy saving device, an authentic secured control message sent by the management center. This message includes a command onto the mode in which the consumption appliance has to be switched. A counter is initialized with an initialization value before to be triggered. The consumption appliance is switched in the mode indicated by the command, either until the counter has reached a threshold value, or until receiving another authentic control message. If the counter has reached the threshold value, then the consumption appliance is switched in its default power mode. If another authentic secured control message has been received, then returning to the step of initializing the counter.
State monitoring device, state monitoring system, and state monitoring method
The present invention provides a state monitoring device which make it possible to certainly deliver, to the maintenance staff side, state monitoring information of an apparatus to be monitored which is disposed in a distant place with a bad communication environment. A state monitoring device 300 is provided with a communication unit 301 which performs communication using a first communication line for transmitting operating information of an apparatus to be monitored to a server device, and a second communication line for transmitting the operating information to the server device via wireless communication provided by a mobile object if the first communication line is not communicable.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING BUILDING HEALTH
A building monitoring computer system for monitoring building integrity may be provided. Various types of sensors may be embedded throughout or within certain portions of different types of building or construction material making up the building, such as within roofing, foundation, or structural materials. The sensors may be in wireless communication with a home controller. The sensors may be water, moisture, temperature, vibration, or other types of sensors, and may detect unexpected or abnormal conditions within the home. The sensors and/or home controller may transmit alerts to a mobile device of the home owner associated with the unexpected condition, and/or that remedial actions may be required to repair the home or mitigate further damage to the home. The sensor data may also be communicated to an insurance provider remote server to facilitate the insurance provider communicating insurance-related recommendations, updating insurance policies, or preparing insurance claims for review for home owners.
Modular electronic display platform
Methods and systems for reconfiguring an interface device are described. The interface device may comprise a housing, one or more processors disposed in the housing, a display, a network interface that enables communication with a security system, and a module connector. One or more of a plurality of modules may be removably coupled, via the module connector, with the interface device. The plurality of modules may enable the interface device to perform different functions. An example module, when coupled to the module connector, may enable communication between multiple networks.
Method for configuring, monitoring or supervising a home automation installation
A method for configuring home automation installation including at least one home automation device capable of communicating with at least one central control unit, the method being executed by a management unit capable of communicating with the at least one central control unit; the method including the following steps: receiving, from the central control unit, at least one configuration message relating to at least one home automation device; obtaining a location identifier of the at least one home automation device; recording a correspondence between the location identifier of the at least one home automation device and at least one identification element contained in the configuration message; recording at least one type of the at least one home automation device; and/or the at least one definition of a function, a state variable and/or a function conversion rule. Also disclosed is a control method and a monitoring method.
Security network integrating security system and network devices
Systems and methods for a security network integrating security system and network devices are disclosed. A system may comprise a gateway and first and second security panels, each located at a premises. The first and second security panels may be connected, via respective first and second wireless communication protocols, to respective first and second security system components. The first and second security panels may receive respective first and second security data from the respective first and second security system components. The gateway may be configured to receive, via the first and second wireless communication protocols, the respective first and second security data. The gateway may be configured to transmit at least one of the first security data and the second security data to a security server located external to the premises.
