A home device controller can publish state data indicating a state of each home device in its local network of home devices to a message bus of the distributed system, the message bus being accessed by each of a plurality of home device controllers in a distributed system of home device controllers. In doing so, the distributed system can mitigate or resolve fault conditions occurring with any of the home device controllers in the distributed system through a lease acquisition process that enables home device controllers to acquire the home devices from other home device controllers.

An apparatus includes processing circuitry configured to output, to a plurality of devices, an initial superframe configured in an initial superframe mode of a plurality of superframe modes. Each superframe mode of the plurality of superframe modes allocating each slot of a plurality of slots for wireless communication to a first protocol, a second protocol, or a third protocol. In response to determining a change in bandwidth, the processing circuitry is configured to select an updated superframe mode from the plurality of superframe modes. The processing circuitry is further configured to output, to the plurality of devices, an updated superframe configured in the updated superframe mode.

A load control system may include a network of devices configured to communicate with one another. The load control system may include control devices configured to operate as a leader device or another router device on the network. The control device may process advertisement messages from other router devices in the network. The control device may receive advertisement messages from non-leader router devices and compare the device identifier and the sequence number in the advertisement messages with the device identifier and the sequence number in previously-received advertisement messages from the non-leader router devices. The control device may process each advertisement message received with a different sequence identifier or a different device identifier than previously received advertisement messages from the non-leader router devices. The control device may ignore each advertisement message received with the same sequence identifier from the same non-leader router device as a previously received advertisement message.

Disclosed are various examples for providing contextual awareness with an internet of things (IoT) infrastructure in an enterprise workspace. IoT devices can connect to a network through a gateway or other edge device enrolled in a management service. The gateway device can provide context-based services defined by the management services to users in an enterprise through interactions with IoT devices. A gateway device can identity managed user devices within a service range of the gateway device. When a managed user device is within the service range of the gateway device, the gateway device can provide a context-based service by interacting with connected IoT devices.

A router device for matching operations of client devices hosted on a network with contextual automations gathers device information from client devices that are connected to the router device via a wireless local area network (WLAN), wherein the client devices include a user device and one or more other devices, sends the device information collected from the client devices to a first remote server, receives device identification information of the client devices from the first remote server based on the device information, respectively, sends the device identification information of the client devices to a second remote server, receives a list of condition-based automations (CBAs) that are available and applicable for one or more of the client devices from the second remote server based on the device identification information, and sends the list of CBAs to the user device for presentation via a display.

A building system for identity management of a building, the building system including one or more storage devices configured to store instructions thereon, that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive a request to determine whether an entity has a privilege and determine whether the entity has the privilege by querying, based on the request, a graph database to identity information of the graph database that indicates whether the entity has the privilege, wherein the graph database stores nodes representing at least one of users, equipment, events, or spaces of the building, wherein the graph database stores edges between the nodes representing relationships between the users, equipment, events, or spaces. The instructions cause the one or more processors to generate a response including a determination whether the entity has the privilege.

The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for managing an electronic device. The method and apparatus may allow a user to input a registration instruction to a user terminal using the user's voice without directly inputting or confirming various types of information, when the user registers an electronic device in the user's account as an electronic device to be managed. For example, the user may utter (or speak) a product family of the electronic device to be registered, and an instruction to request registration, thereby enabling the user to register the electronic device in the user's account as an electronic device to be managed as a result of manipulation performed more simply and less frequently.

A networked lighting system is provided which stores, e.g. in a lighting controller node, lighting control data such as scenes or rules based on receiving such data from an application running on a first computer device. An identification of the application which lighting control data was received from is stored alongside this data. When an input is received by (a node in) the networked lighting system from an application running on a second computer device indicating that the lighting control data is to be edited, an application call is executed such that the application the lighting control data was received from is run on this second computer device.
