ENTRY ADAPTER FOR A CABLE TELEVISION NETWORK
An entry adapter configured to communicate cable television (CATV) signals from a CATV network to one or more network devices and to communicate Multi-Media over Coaxial Alliance (MoCA) signals with a MoCA server, the entry adapter including one or more MoCA ports, and a signal combination device configured to direct the CATV signals toward one or more access ports without substantial attenuation, to substantially attenuate the CATV signals directed toward the one or more MoCA ports, to pass the MoCA signals from the one or more MoCA ports to the one or more access ports, and to pass the MoCA signals from the one or more access ports to the one or more MoCA ports.
Notification Processing System, Method, and Electronic Device
When a mobile phone is used as a first device to generate a notification, the mobile phone determines whether there is another device in an ambient environment that can be configured to prompt the mobile phone to generate the notification, and determines whether there is another device in the ambient environment that is more suitable for executing a task corresponding to the notification. If yes, the mobile phone sends a prompt message to a second device, and after the prompt device receives the prompt message, the second mobile phone generates the notification. In addition, the mobile phone selects a third device that is more suitable for executing the task corresponding to the notification, and reminds a user by using the prompt device.
Doorbell communication systems and methods
The disclosure includes a method for using a doorbell system to detect a presence of a visitor. The doorbell system can comprise a doorbell having a speaker, a microphone, a camera, and a button. The method can include detecting, by the doorbell system, the presence of the visitor while the visitor is located outside a building to which the doorbell is attached. The building can include a door having a lock that is configured to fasten the door to inhibit unauthorized entry into the building. In response to detecting the presence of the visitor, the method can include the step of actuating, by the doorbell system, a first appliance associated with the building.
CONTROLLING DATA ROUTING IN PREMISES MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Systems and methods for controlling routing in premises management systems are described. A system may comprise a server located external to a premises. The server may be configured to receive, from a user device located external to the premises, a request for content from a premises device located at the premises. The server may be configured to transmit, to a gateway device located at the premises, a request to cause transmission of the content. The gateway device may configured to determine, based on the request to cause transmission of the content and a capability of a network, a routing protocol for transmission of the content. The gateway device may be configured to cause transmission of the content. The transmission of the content may use the determined routing protocol. The transmission of the content may be via the network.
DOORBELL COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Doorbell systems can include a doorbell and a chime. In some embodiments, the chime can be communicatively coupled to a wireless network of a building, to the doorbell, and to a remote computing device. In several embodiments, the chime facilitates communication with at least one of the doorbell, the remote computing device, and a remote sensor.
Microservice based multi-device coordinated user experience
Techniques are described for providing a simultaneous, multi-device user experience that employs computing devices with varying capabilities for data input and/or data output, using a microservice-based architecture. A user may register multiple devices with a service, which determines capabilities of the devices for data input and/or output. During a communication session involving the user and another user, such as a service representative, the service may receive input data collected through device(s) and/or provide output data to be presented on the same or other device(s), where such data input and data output is received and provided according to the input/output capabilities of the various devices. The data input and/or output may switch from device to device during a session. In some instances, data may be replicated for presentation through multiple devices simultaneously. Interactions with each device may be through a microservice that is associated with the device and/or its device type.
Automatic device volume adjustment based on learned volume preferences
Systems and methods for automatically adjusting device volume based on learned volume preferences are disclosed herein. A first device receives a wireless signal from a second device. A signal strength of the wireless signal is determined, and a location of the second device is determined based on the signal strength of the wireless signal. Historical volume level data for the first device is retrieved from memory. A target volume level for the first device is determined based on the location of the second device and the historical volume level data. A volume setting of the first device is automatically adjusted to the target volume level.
DOORBELL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Doorbell systems can include a speaker and a visitor detection system that includes at least one of a button, a camera, and a motion detector. Doorbell systems can be configured to detect an identity of a visitor via facial recognition, initiate a communication session with a remote computing device, and send the identity to the remote computing device via the first communication session.
System and method for providing network support services and premises gateway support infrastructure
A service management system communicates via wide area network with gateway devices located at respective user premises. The service management system remotely manages delivery of application services, which can be voice controlled, by a gateway, e.g. by selectively activating/deactivating service logic modules in the gateway. The service management system also may selectively provide secure communications and exchange of information among gateway devices and among associated endpoint devices. An exemplary service management system includes a router connected to the network and one or more computer platforms, for implementing management functions. Examples of the functions include a connection manager for controlling system communications with the gateway devices, an authentication manager for authenticating each gateway device and controlling the connection manager and a subscription manager for managing applications services and/or features offered by the gateway devices. A service manager, controlled by the subscription manager, distributes service specific configuration data to authenticated gateway devices.
