BMS, ECU, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD BETWEEN BMS AND ECU
Disclosed is an ECU that transmits a pulse signal with a modulated frequency and duty cycle to a BMS so as to instruct a switching operation of a control target relay from among a plurality of relays and a BMS to control a switching operation of the corresponding relay according to the modulating pulse signal received from the ECU and control a first voltage change period to a communication line.
SWITCH DEVICE, COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD, AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL PROGRAM
A switch device installed in a vehicle is provided with: a switch unit configured to relay communication data between a plurality of function units installed in the vehicle; a storage unit configured to hold the communication data to be relayed; and a control unit configured to determine a state of the storage unit, and adjust, for each of applications, a throughput of the communication data to be transmitted from the function units, based on a result of the determination.
System and method of authenticating the source of a communication signal transmitted along a network bus
A communication network authenticates the source of messages transmitted on a flat bus to determine the presence of spoofing events. A programmable intrusion detection device is connected to the bus at a fixed location and compiles templates for various tri-bit signal pulses that form the data transmitted as messages between network nodes. Each tri-bit template compares unique signal characteristics inherent in the signal waveform received by the device from each node, the unique characteristics being directly attributable to the physical topology of the network. In use, the device uses the templates to calculate an inferred source identifier for each message. The inferred source identifier is then compared against the declared source identifier, which is embedded in message metadata, to authenticate the message source. Any lack of reconciliation between the inferred and declared source identifiers causes the device to mark the message as spoofed and initiate a designated response.
Ethernet transceiver device and ethernet physical-layer circuit
An Ethernet physical-layer circuit corresponding to a first port is connected to a first link partner device through the first port and a first Ethernet cable. The Ethernet physical-layer circuit and other physical-layer circuits all employ an output oscillation signal of a crystal oscillator to respectively generate clock waveforms, and they are configured in a master mode when the crosstalk noise is converged and compensated.

TELEMETRY REPORTING IN VEHICLE SUPER RESOLUTION SYSTEMS
In one embodiment, a processor of a vehicle detects a difference between a physical characteristic of the vehicle predicted by a first machine learning-based model and a physical characteristic of the vehicle indicated by telemetry data generated by a sub-system of the vehicle. The processor forms a packet payload of an update packet indicative of the detected difference, based in part on a relevancy of the physical characteristic to the first machine learning-based model. The processor applies a synchronization strategy to the update packet, to synchronize the update packet with a second machine learning-based model executed by a receiver. The processor sends the update packet to the receiver via a network, to update the second machine learning-based model.
System and method for qualitative analysis of baseband building automation networks
A system and method is provided for qualitative analysis of baseband building automation networks. The system may include a processor configured to carry out a plurality of tests on a serial communication network that includes at least one field device that carries out building automation communications on the network. A first test may include: transmitting a series of queries for devices on the network, in which the queries are transmitted at incrementally lower transmission signal levels until message loss is detected; and determining a first lower signal level at which transmissions of queries occur without message loss on the network. In addition, the processor may be configured to determine and output on a display device at least one classification of the relative quality of the network with respect to at least one predetermined scale of relative network quality based at least in part on the first lower signal level.
Use of different data rates for polling in a multi-rate network
A first node operates in a network. The first node sends a polling message to a second node over a link at a first data rate, receiving an acknowledgement message from the second node. Based at least in part on receiving the acknowledgement message, the first node determines the second node is available to receive an information message. Based at least in part on the determining the second node is available to receive the information message, the first node sends the information message to the second node over the link at a second data rate. The second data rate is based at least on an indication of observed behavior of the link and the first data rate is based at least on the second data rate. For example, the first node may determine the first data rate to be a next slowest available data rate than the second data rate.
Can communication protocol system for exchanging fuel and/or operating fluid consumption-optimizing and noise-optimizing messages between drive components and output components
A CAN communication protocol system for exchanging fuel consumption-optimizing and/or operating fluid consumption-optimizing and noise-optimizing messages between drive components and output components, which also help to increase the overall availability of the system, and method. Described is also a CAN communication protocol system for an internal combustion engine for exchanging fuel consumption-optimizing and/or operating fluid consumption-optimizing and noise-optimizing messages between drive components and output components, which also help to increase the overall availability of the system.
Communication system, communication method, and mac circuit
A communication system includes a medium access control circuit and at least one physical layer circuit. The at least one physical layer circuit is coupled to the medium access control circuit. The medium access control circuit sends a control command to the at least one physical layer circuit via a SERDES interface. In response to the control command, the at least one physical layer circuit sends physical layer data to the medium access control circuit via the SERDES interface.
