Electronic control unit protection framework using security zones
Systems are provided herein for a hardware protection framework. A security module monitors a plurality of voltage lines of at least one electronic control unit (ECU) electrically coupled to a communications bus. A voltage differential across at least two of the plurality of voltage lines of the at least one ECU is measured. The voltage differential is compared to a plurality of predetermined signal fingerprints associated with the at least one ECU. A variance in the compared voltage differential is identified relative to one or more of the plurality of predetermined signal fingerprints. Data characterizing the identified variance is provided. In some aspects, a pulse or a data stream is injected based on the voltage differential having an amplitude lower than a predetermined voltage threshold.
Dual-mode controller
A dual-mode controller may include a communication interface between a handheld electronic device and subsystems on a computing bus or network. The dual-mode controller may operate in a master mode when a user directly manipulates the dual-mode controller to communicate with any subsystem(s). In this mode, the dual-mode controller may serve as a master controller and accesses and controls various subsystems on the bus or network (such as audio/visual subsystems, temperature control subsystems, alarm subsystems, sensors and transducers) as a master controller. In a slave mode, the interface may act as an adapter or interface between the handheld device and the subsystems.

Networking module for instrumentation and control devices
A module for managing communication among instrumentation and control devices associated with a system, and a method for using the module, enable interconnection of various devices across multiple network buses, and filtering of messages travelling between devices on disparate buses. Buses may be established wirelessly in addition to via wired connections. Additional devices may connect to a pluggable terminal interface integrated with the module. The terminal interface may connect to a configurable variety of interconnecting circuits appropriate for various types of terminal devices. An associated user interface may enable a user to configure various parameters pertaining to connected devices, including alerts to be issued when certain parameters exceed thresholds, and actions to be taken upon issuance of such alerts.

Central payload manager for unmanned systems
A central payload manager device may include a network switch, a central payload manager processing device, a plurality of connecting interfaces, a plurality of sensor processing devices connected to corresponding ones of the connecting interfaces and to the network switch, a cell modem or radio link connected to one or more of the connecting interfaces and to the network switch, a data storage device connected to the processing device, wherein the data storage device is configured to receive and store information from the plurality of sensor processing devices and from the cell modem or radio link via the network switch and the central payload manager processing device; and an iridium modern connecting to the central payload manager processing device and to a corresponding one of the connecting interfaces, wherein the iridium modem is configured to receive and transmit the stored information from the data storage device to an iridium antenna.

Systems and methods for reconfigurable on-vehicle data routing
Systems and methods for reconfigurable on-vehicle data routing are provided. In one embodiment, a data link communication system comprises: a router to communicate with at least one communication bus and at least one data bus, and monitor data communicated over the communication data buses, wherein the communication bus communicates data link messages with an off-vehicle service provider system, wherein the data bus transports data between the router and a plurality of on-vehicle systems; a routing control logic; and a conditional logic database, wherein the database comprises definitions of one or more datatypes and definitions for at least one data forwarding command; wherein, in response to receiving a first set of data associated with a datatype defined by the database, the logic executes the at least one data forwarding command to control the router to output a second set of data to one or more of the plurality of on-vehicle systems.
