Abnormality detection apparatus and abnormality detection method

An abnormality detection apparatus for a mobility entity and for detecting an abnormality in a network system is provided. The network system includes a first network and a second network that use different communication protocols. A first communication circuit receives state information indicating a state of the mobility entity. The state information is acquired from the second network. A second communication circuit transmits and receives a first frame according to a communication protocol used in the first network. A memory stores an abnormality detection rule. A processor detects, based on the state information and the abnormality detection rule, whether a control command included in the first frame received by the second communication circuit is abnormal. In a case where the control command is abnormal, the processor prohibits the control command from being transmitted.

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing an enhanced Packet Forwarding Control Protocol (PFCP) association procedure for session restoration. In this regard, a method performed by a PFCP node comprises deleting one or more PFCP sessions of the PFCP node that are associated with a failed PFCP entity or with a failed PFCP path. The method further comprises sending, to a PFCP peer node, a node level message to request that the PFCP peer node delete a corresponding one or more PFCP sessions of the PFCP peer node that are associated with the failed PFCP entity or with the failed PFCP path, wherein the node level message comprises an indication of the corresponding one or more PFCP sessions. Some embodiments provide that the node level message comprises a PFCP Association Setup Request including sessions retention information to indicate whether to retain PFCP sessions associated with the PFCP Association Setup Request.

Interface for improved media access, and related systems, methods, and devices

Disclosed are systems and devices for interfacing media access tuning circuitry that implements collision handling or traffic shaping with a reduced media independent interface (RMII). In some embodiments, an interface circuitry manages emulated signals generated by a media access tuning circuitry in response to detecting that the emulated signals would cause incorrect operation of an RMII. Also disclosed is a physical layer (PHY) device for a multidrop network. In some embodiments the PHY device implements physical layer collision techniques and operable to communicate with a media access control (MAC) device via an RMII, where the MAC is configured for carrier-sense multiple access (CSMA), CSMA with collision detection (CSMA/CD), or CSMA with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA). Also disclosed are processes for managing signaling at a PHY that implements physical layer collision avoidance (PLCA) or traffic shaping, as the case may be.

Enhanced smart process control switch port lockdown

A smart process control switch can implement a lockdown routine to lockdown its communication ports exclusively for use by devices having known physical addresses, enabling the smart process control switch to prevent new, potentially hostile, devices from communicating with other devices to which the smart process control switch is connected. Further, the smart process control switch can implement an address mapping routine to identify “known pairs” of physical and network addresses for each device communicating via a port of the smart process control switch. Thus, even if a new hostile device is able to spoof a known physical address in an attempt to bypass locked ports, the smart process control switch can detect the hostile device by checking the network address of the hostile device against the expected network address for the “known pair.”

Signaling of time for communication between integrated circuits using multi-drop bus

Embodiments relate to including information in a data packet transmitted by a transmitting integrated circuit (e.g., SOC) to account for a time delay associated with an unsuccessful arbitration attempt to send the data packet over a multi-drop bus. The unsuccessful arbitration attempt by the integrated circuit may delay the transmission of the data packet until the multi-drop bus becomes available for the integrated circuit to send the data packet. The data packet includes a data field to include time delay information caused by the unsuccessful arbitration attempt. A receiving integrated circuit may determine the time that the data packet would have been sent out from the transmitting integrated circuit absent the unsuccessful arbitration attempt based on the delay information. Embodiments also relate to a synchronization generator circuit in an integrated circuit that generates timing signals indicating times at which periodic events occur at another integrated circuit.
