CAN TRANSCEIVER

A transceiver for sending and receiving data from a controller area network (CAN) bus is disclosed. The transceiver includes a microcontroller port, a transmitter and a receiver. The transceiver is configured to receive a data frame from a microcontroller via the microcontroller port and to determine if the microcontroller is authorized to send the data frame or part of it based on a message identifier in the data frame and the outcome of the arbitration process. If the microcontroller is unauthorized to send the data, the transceiver is configured to invalidate the data frame and disconnect the microcontroller from the CAN bus for a predetermined period.

SUBSCRIBER STATION FOR A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM
20220209984 · 2022-06-30 ·

A subscriber station for a serial bus system. The subscriber station has a communication control device for controlling a communication of the subscriber station with at least one other subscriber station, a transmitting/receiving device for transmitting a transmission signal generated by the communication control device, and a scheduling unit for scheduling a temporal access of the subscriber station to the bus in at least one time slot of a cycle of temporally consecutive time slots. At least one time slot is provided in a cycle for each subscriber station of the bus for transmitting its transmission signal and the cycle repeats cyclically. The scheduling unit determines, together with the other subscriber stations of the bus in the operation of the bus system using a priority of the transmission signal, which time slot of the cycle the transmitting/receiving device may use for transmitting the transmission signal on the bus.

CAN FILTER COMBINING METHOD, DEVICE, AND CAN CONTROLLER
20220179622 · 2022-06-09 ·

A (controller area network) CAN filter combining method and a CNA controller are provided. The CAN filter includes a special filter and one or more common filters. The method includes: initializing a mask code and at least two filter codes of the special filter, acquiring a first total number of the filter codes in the special filter and a second total number of the common filters, acquiring mask codes and filter codes of the common filters, and adjusting the mask code and the filter codes of the special filter on the basis of the first total number, the second total number, and the mask codes and the filtering codes of all of the common filters. The method reduces the load of a processor, and prevents the CAN controller from processing a large amount of irrelevant data, thereby accelerating communications.

Distributed System with Fault Tolerance and Self-Maintenance

A distributed system includes a plurality of compute nodes configured to process messages. The compute nodes each process messages corresponding an assigned value of a common parameter of the messages. The values are assigned to the compute nodes such that two or more compute nodes are available to process each message. The values can be assigned to the compute nodes in a grouping configuration or a striping configuration. The compute nodes also circulate one or more tokens among nodes, and perform a self-maintenance operation during a given state of possession of the token. During a self-maintenance operation, the values assigned to the compute node can be reassigned to other compute nodes to ensure processing of corresponding messages.
