The present disclosure provides a method in a receiver for frequency offset estimation. The method includes: for each of two or more pairs of symbols in a set of symbols from a transmitter: calculating a phase difference between a first symbol and a second symbol in the pair; and removing from the calculated phase difference a phase difference component due to a difference between information carried in the first symbol and information carried in the second symbol, to obtain a residual phase difference component. The method further includes: estimating a frequency offset between the receiver and the transmitter as a function of the respective residual phase difference components obtained for the two or more pairs.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REFERENCE SYMBOL PATTERN ADAPTATION

Capability of a user equipment to support machine learning adaptation by a base station of a reference signal pattern is signaled between the base station and the user equipment. Configuration information from the base station indicates one or more of enabling or disabling of machine learning adaptation of the reference signal pattern, a machine learning model used for machine learning adaptation of the reference signal pattern, updated model parameters for the machine learning model, or whether model parameters received from the user equipment will be used for machine learning adaptation of the reference signal pattern. Model training may be performed or model parameters received, and reference signals are received from the base station. Information on a reference signal pattern may be transmitted by the user equipment to the serving base station. Assistance information may be transmitted by the user equipment to the base station, which configures a reference signal pattern.

Sounding reference signal transmission method, terminal device and network device

Provided are a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission method, a terminal device and a network device. When a slot configured by a network device through high-layer signaling does not include any time-domain resource available for SRS transmission or time-domain resources therein are not adequate, a terminal device may determine a slot for SRS transmission, thereby finding a proper uplink resource for sending an SRS to further ensure the uplink transmission performance. The method includes that: a terminal device receives downlink control information (DCI) from a network device, the DCI including SRS triggering signaling and the SRS triggering signaling indicating SRS transmission on at least one SRS resource set; and the terminal device transmits an SRS on a target SRS resource in the at least one SRS resource set in a slot meeting a first preset condition and after K slots from reception of the DCI, K being a nonnegative integer.

The present specification relates to a method for performing uplink transmission in a wireless communication system. More particularly, a method performed by a terminal comprises the steps of: transmitting a PRACH preamble to a base station on the basis of a transmission unit indicating a physical layer resource set; receiving, from the base station, a random access response (RAR) including a TA value; and transmitting the uplink signal on the basis of the RAR, wherein transmission unit setting information about the transmission unit, set in the terminal, is transmitted through the PRACH preamble or the uplink signal to the base station.

Enhanced transmission opportunities for sounding reference signals

Enhanced transmission opportunities are disclosed for sounding reference signals (SRS). The enhancements may provide more flexibility in scheduling SRS transmission and more SRS transmission opportunities. An additional offset may be defined and dynamically communicated to a user equipment (UE) to use either to override or in additional to a semi-statically communicated standard offset when scheduling the SRS transmission opportunity based on an SRS trigger slot or another granted slot. The UE may further treat each combination of timing information as a separate SRS opportunity or may define a window between two signaled timing offsets within which the UE may attempt SRS transmissions.
