RECEIVER CIRCUIT
A receiver circuit comprising an averaging-processing-block that is configured to receive an OFDM signal. The OFDM signal comprises a plurality of sample-values, wherein the sample-values comprise: a middle-sample-value; a lower-sample-value-group; and a higher-sample-value-group. The averaging-processing-block can determine an averaged-sample-value for the middle-sample-value by performing an averaging operation on the sample-values of the lower-sample-value-group and the higher-sample-value-group, but not on the middle-sample-value.

An apparatus for transmitting and receiving signal may include a transceiver configured to receive a reception signal through a channel and demodulate the reception signal into a reception symbol and a channel estimation value corresponding to the reception signal, and a demapper configured to detect a modulation type of the reception signal, calculate a first status data based on a first value obtained by zero-forcing the reception symbol and a second value obtained by squaring the channel estimation value, calculate a second status data based on the second value, and estimate bit information with respect to the reception symbol based on the modulation type, the first status data, and the second status data.
User selection for MU-MIMO communications
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, an apparatus and a computer readable storage medium of user selection for MU-MIMO communications. In example embodiments, a method is provided. The method comprises determining a set of candidate terminal devices; and iteratively performing the following at least once until an end condition is met: generating, based on respective channel estimations for the set of candidate terminal devices, a covariance matrix indicating interdependency among the set of candidate terminal devices; determining a minimum eigenvalue of the covariance matrix and an eigenvector corresponding to the minimum eigenvalue, the eigenvector indicating a set of measurements for interdependency among the set of candidate terminal devices; and updating the set of candidate terminal devices by removing, from the set of candidate terminal devices, a candidate terminal device associated with a maximum measurement in the set of measurements.
Channel measurement method and communication apparatus
This application provides example channel measurement methods and example communication apparatuses. One example method includes determining L weighting coefficients for determining channels of K moments based on channels of M moments, where L, M, and K are all positive integers. Information about the L weighting coefficients can then be sent.
DETECTION OF SPATIALLY MULTIPLEXED SIGNALS FOR OVER-DETERMINED MIMO SYSTEMS
Method and apparatus of obtaining better detection performance by improving matrix condition for an MN over-determined MIMO system are disclosed. The condition of a matrix to be inverted for solving various detection problems is improved by reordering equations of the original MIMO system, resulting in a reordered channel matrix and reordered received signal vector so that the top NN sub-matrix has the largest determinant among all NN sub-matrices of the reordered channel matrix. The disclosed method may be used to obtain a more accurate estimate of the transmit data bits.
Channel estimation in a multi-antenna wireless communications system
A method performed by a first device for estimating a radio channel between the first device and a second device in a telecommunications system is provided. The first device receives common pilot signals and demodulation signals over the radio channel in transmissions from the second device. Then, the first device estimates the radio channel based on the common pilot signals and the demodulation pilot signals and determines the radio channel based on the common pilot signals and the demodulation pilot signals. A first device for estimating a radio channel between the first device and a second device in a telecommunications system is also described.

A communication device includes: a detecting unit, performing a mobility detection in a time interval to generate a detection result; a selecting unit, selecting a channel estimation method from a plurality of channel estimation methods according to the detection result; and a channel estimating unit, coupled to the selecting unit, performing a channel estimation on a channel for receiving a signal according to the selected channel estimation method.
WIRELESS RECEIVER
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for demodulation in a wireless communications system transmitted across a wireless communications channel. The described wireless receiver includes a first antenna for receiving a wireless signal including a symbol transmitted across a wireless communications channel perceived by the first antenna, an observation modifier for generating a modified observation (y) of the symbol based on a product of the received observation (r) and the complex conjugate of a channel estimate (h*), a log-likelihood ratio (LLR) module generating log-likelihood ratios (LLRs) based on the modified observation and the channel estimate, and a maximum-likelihood-based decoder for decoding the symbol based on the LLRs.
Scheduling algorithm for wireless communication networks
A method scheduling resources allocation within a wireless communications network including at least one network cell including a central unit providing coverage over the network cell and managing at least one transmission frame for putting the central unit into communication with at least one user equipment. The method includes: retrieving input parameters including, for each user equipment, a channel quality parameter indicating a measured/estimated channel quality based on actual network cell conditions; applying a de-contextualization function to each channel quality parameter for obtaining a corresponding atomic channel quality parameter indicating channel quality de-contextualized from the actual network cell conditions; performing a scheduling algorithm providing a binary allocation matrix indicating each scheduled physical resource block, transmission frame and user equipment; and applying a contextualization function to the allocation matrix obtaining transport block size data usable by the scheduled transmission frame for transport blocks transmissions from or towards each scheduled user equipment.
