Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for controlling a quadrature amplitude modulation-filter bank multi-carrier (QAM-FBMC) system. A method of controlling interference is performed by a reception apparatus of the QAM-FBMC system, wherein the reception apparatus is paired with a transmission apparatus. The method includes receiving a pre-coded data symbol; and removing residual interference caused due to a non-orthogonal filter from the pre-coded data symbol by using a decision feedback equalizer.

METHODS AND DEVICES FOR JOINT PROCESSING IN MASSIVE MIMO SYSTEMS

A distributed unit (DU) may include a transceiver configured to communicate with a plurality of radio units (RUs) that are configured to serve a plurality of user equipments (UEs). The DU may include a processor configured to determine RU precoding parameters for UEs served by a first RU set from the plurality of RUs based on estimated channel parameters for communication channels between the first RU set and at least one of interfering UEs served by other RUs from the plurality of RUs; to encode information indicating the determined precoding parameters for downlink transmissions to the first RU set and determine DU precoding parameters for downlink transmissions to the UEs served by the first RU set based on the determined RU precoding parameters; and/or precode communication signals based on the determined DU precoding parameters.

Terminal device, base station device, communication system, and communication method

A terminal device includes communication means for carrying out communication with a base station device, and generation means for generating a rank indicator specifying a preferred rank, first partial precoder information and second partial precoder information specifying a preferred precoder, and a reception quality indicator specifying a preferred transmission rate. In a first feedback mode in which reception quality information is reported periodically to the base station device, the communication means reports the second partial precoder information and the reception quality indicator at first timing, and reports the rank indicator and the first partial precoder information at second timing different from the first timing. In a second feedback mode in which the reception quality information is reported aperiodically to the base station device, the communication means reports the rank indicator, the first partial precoder information, the second partial precoder information, and the reception quality indicator at the same timing.

Method and apparatus for low power chip-to-chip communications with constrained ISI ratio

An efficient communications apparatus is described for a vector signaling code to transport data and optionally a clocking signal between integrated circuit devices. Methods of designing such apparatus and their associated codes based on a new metric herein called the “ISI Ratio” are described which permit higher communications speed, lower system power consumption, and reduced implementation complexity.

Methods and apparatus for the scrambling of control symbols. In one embodiment, the control symbols are associated with an HDMI interface, and the methods and apparatus are configured to scramble the symbols to as to mitigate the effects of electromagnetic interference (EMI) created by the transmission of otherwise unscrambled sequences of symbols which may contain significant “clock pattern” or other undesirable artifact.

Multicarrier Communications System

Methods and apparatus for communication between terminals and an access node in a multiuser multicarrier communications network are described. The access node may be a satellite access node. Terminals are configured to perform initial estimation and tracking of channel offsets and to estimate channel offsets for future packets to be transmitted by the terminal. In some embodiments the channel offsets comprise mobility related channel offsets due to the relative movement between the access node and the plurality of terminals. Transmissions from the terminals to the access node are pre-compensated for the channel offsets, so that the aggregate signal received by the access node occupies a bandwidth greater or equal to the maximum signal bandwidth of any individual terminal. Terminal transmissions may overlap in frequency and time on the ground, but arrive orthogonally at the access node.
