A method for cancelling self-interference by a base station that uses a full duplex radio (FDR) scheme may comprise the steps of: transmitting, to a terminal, information associated with reference signal (RS) power boosting, which has been changed for estimation of a self-interference channel; transmitting an RS on the basis of the changed RS power boosting; estimating the self-interference channel according to the RS; and cancelling the self-interference on the basis of the estimation of the self-interference channel.

An input signal is fed to a Mach-Zehnder interferometer configured to drop, or suppress, by destructive interference, a signal component in a first frequency band from among a plurality of frequency bands. One or more bandpass filters in one arm of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer suppress other frequencies, outside of the first frequency band, so that signals at these other frequencies are not suppressed by destructive interference and are present at the output of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer. A coupler connected after the output of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer adds, into the signal path, a replacement for the dropped signal.

In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: receiving a sub-frame via a radio receive chain in a time domain; performing per-user filtering on the sub-frame to obtain a signal for a particular user; obtaining a CFO correction signal; adding the CFO correction signal in the time domain to perform a CFO correction step on the signal for the particular user; performing an FFT on the output of the CFO correction step to obtain samples in a frequency domain; adding an SFO correction signal in the frequency domain to perform an SFO correction to the output of FFT step; and demodulating the output of SFO correction step, thereby performing CFO and SFO correction while reducing inter-carrier interference (ICI).
