METHOD FOR MEASURING AND CORRECTING MULTI-WIRE SKEW
Generating, during a first and second signaling interval, an aggregated data signal by forming a linear combination of wire signals received in parallel from wires of a multi-wire bus, wherein at least some of the wire signals undergo a signal level transition during the first and second signaling interval; measuring a signal skew characteristic of the aggregated data signal; and, generating wire-specific skew offset metrics, each wire-specific skew offset metric based on the signal skew characteristic.
OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER
An optical transceiver is configured to receive an optical signal on which a monitoring signal encoded by Manchester encoding is superimposed. The optical transceiver includes a decoding circuit configured to decode the monitoring signal from an electrical signal generated from the optical signal. The decoding circuit includes an interval measuring unit and a decoding unit. The interval measuring unit is configured to detect only a rising edge or a falling edge of a waveform of the electrical signal, to measure a first time interval between a detected first edge and a second edge detected immediately after detecting the first edge, and to measure a second time interval between the second edge and a third edge detected immediately after detecting the second edge. The decoding unit is configured to decode the monitoring signal encoded by the Manchester encoding based on a ratio between the first and second time intervals.

A controller side of a 10SPE PHY may perform a local or remote 10SPE wake forward in response to a communicated source of a wake. Also disclosed is a digital interface for operatively coupling a PHY controller to PHY transceiver over a low-pin count connection, where the digital interface includes circuitry for checking the integrity of circuitry of the digital interface. Also disclosed is a PHY transceiver of a 10SPE PHY, where the transceiver includes a circuitry for controlling a starting polarity of frames.
Transmitter, communication apparatus, method and computer program for transmitting amplitude shift keyed signals using multiple transmit antennas
A method of transmitting an amplitude shift keyed signal uses a multi-layered transmission over a plurality of transmit antennas with different precoding of different symbols for the respective layers. The method comprises obtaining a sequence of bits to be conveyed, keying the sequence of bits to a signal, precoding the signal to respective layer, and transmitting the precoded signal. A transmitter for transmitting the amplitude shift keyed signal, and a computer program for implementing the method are also disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING WAKEUP PACKET IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM
A method and an apparatus for transmitting a wakeup packet in a wireless LAN system are proposed. Specifically, a transmitter generates a wakeup packet by applying an OOK scheme. The transmitter transmits the wakeup packet to a receiver via an 80 MHz channel. The 80 MHz channel includes first to fourth subchannels. If some of the first to fourth subchannels are busy or there are no pending wakeup packets for the receiver in some of the subchannels, some of the subchannels are punctured. The wakeup packet is transmitted via the remaining subchannels of the first to fourth subchannels. Each of the first to fourth subchannels is a 20 MHz channel.
Dynamic shift in outputs of serial and parallel scramblers and descramblers
Methods, systems are provided for reconfiguring the position of a first tap in a descrambler circuit LFSR after the LFSR has been trained and synchronized with a corresponding scrambler circuit LFSR. A data path from the second tap position to the descrambler output by-passes logic elements located in the data path from the first tap to the descrambler output, thereby reducing delay in the descrambler circuit after the reconfiguration (i.e., the “lock-shift” operation). The tap position change may be communicated by a mode manager to a corresponding scrambler circuit, for applying a matching reconfiguration in the scrambler circuit, either directly via an I/O line or indirectly. The indirect route includes in-band transmissions between two ICs with two sets of self-synchronizing scrambler/descrambler pairs, and is based on monitored receiver LFSR output signals that indicate when a scrambler/descrambler pair is synchronized or whether the output of a descrambler circuit comprises descrambled data.
Controller area network apparatus
A Controller Area Network, CAN, bit stream sampling apparatus for a CAN controller, the apparatus configured to receive a bit stream from a CAN transceiver, the apparatus configured to: detect rising edges in said bit stream; detect, separately, falling edges in said bit stream; and generate a restored non-return-to-zero coded bit stream based at least on said detected falling edges and said detected rising edges.

The present invention is to reduce detection of an erroneous edge caused by variation in a case of a sampling frequency that is not larger than a data transmission frequency. A semiconductor device includes: a data reception circuit configured to receive first data at first time and receive second data at second time; and an edge recognition circuit configured to set a range and detect an edge contained in the range. The edge recognition circuit includes a measurement circuit configured to measure a first period taken from the reception of the first data to the reception of the second data, and is configured to determine the range in which the edge contained in the data that is received by the data reception circuit is detected, on the basis of the first period.
