SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING SCAN IRREGULARITIES AT SELF-CHECKOUT TERMINALS
A system for detecting a scan irregularity in scanning process during check-out at a retail store, includes an image receiving module for receiving a video stream of a scanning zone, an image processing module for detecting visual scan intervals in image frames of the video stream, and a decision module. The decision module is configured to process each detected visual scan interval, wherein a processed visual scan interval includes a valid scan action, wherein the valid scan action is a user action performed for scanning an item. The decision module is further configured to detect a scan irregularity in the check-out process, wherein the scan irregularity occurs when an item identified for scanning in a processed visual scan interval is absent in a list of scanned items generated by the scanner during corresponding interval, and provide an alert regarding the scan irregularity at a user computing device.
VACUUM FIXTURE
Disclosed is a vacuum fixture. The vacuum fixture may include a base plate assembly, a middle frame assembly, and a top plate assembly. The base plate assembly may have a first hinged edge. The middle frame assembly may be connected to the base plate proximate the first hinged edge and may define a void. The top plate assembly may have a second hinged edge connected to the first hinged edge, such that when the top plate assembly is in a closed position the middle frame assembly is located in between and contacts a first surface of the base plate assembly and a first surface of the top plate assembly, thereby forming a cavity in between the base plate assembly and the top plate assembly.
Systems and methods for sorting mechanisms at a terminal
Methods, systems, and apparatuses are provided for sorting mechanisms at a POS terminal. A POS terminal in a secondary mode of operation, receives input of categories. Information of items received by the POS terminal is used to sort the items into the categories.
Checkout device
A checkout device includes: a first checkout machine that includes a first coin checkout machine and a first banknote checkout machine; and a second checkout machine that includes a second coin checkout machine and a second banknote checkout machine. The first checkout machine and the second checkout machine at least partially overlap each other when viewed from a direction perpendicular to an installation surface of the first checkout machine and the second checkout machine.
COIN DISPENSING APPARATUS AND CHECKOUT MACHINE WITH THE SAME
A coin dispensing apparatus includes a coin dispenser configured to dispense coins to a receiving tray, a sensor configured to detect one or more coins in the receiving tray, an output device, and a processor configured to control the output device to output a warning when the sensor detects no coins in the receiving tray after the processor instructs the coin dispenser to dispense a group of coins as change and the coin dispenser has dispensed at least one of the coins in the group but before the coin dispenser has dispensed all of the coins in the group.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and non-transitory storage medium
A checkout apparatus (10) includes an image data acquisition unit (11) that acquires data of an image; an image analysis unit (12) that recognizes a plurality of products in the image using a feature value of an exterior of each of the products registered in a feature value storage unit (14) and the data of the image; a reading necessity or non-necessity check unit (15) that extracts the product for which it is necessary to read a product code from among the recognized products, using an object-to-be-read storage unit (16) in which the product for which it is necessary to read the product code is registered in advance; and a reading unit (17) that reads the product code of the product extracted by the reading necessity or non-necessity check unit (15).
ACTION DETECTION SYSTEM, ACTION DETECTION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An action detection system (10) includes an action specification unit (18) configured to start specification of at least one action ID based on at least part of skeleton information extracted from video data that is a captured video of a user in response to detection of the user visiting checkout machine determined in advance, a determination unit (20) configured to determine whether or not an action sequence including the specified at least one action ID corresponds to registration action sequences registered in advance, and a processing control unit (21) configured to execute processing determined in advance in accordance with a determination result.
SERVER APPARATUS, PURCHASE MANAGEMENT METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A server apparatus receives item identification information generated based on an item from a terminal apparatus, and generates a list of items to be purchased based on the received item identification information. Also, when receiving a quantity change request of an item included in the list of items to be purchased, the server apparatus determines whether or not a subject item of the quantity change request is an item prohibited to change a quantity, and transmits information indicating that the quantity is unchangeable to the terminal apparatus when the subject item of the quantity change request is the item prohibited to change the quantity.
Display with integrated cameras
A display includes two-integrated cameras. A first camera is situated in a top right corner of a front display surface of the display and a second camera is situated in a top left corner of the front display surface. The display is connected to a transaction terminal with the first camera focused on a bagging area associated with the transaction terminal and with the second camera focused on a staging area associated with the transaction terminal. Each camera captures images of items and the item images are streamed over a high-speed display port directly to the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal performs item recognition, item tracking, and auditing on the items based the item images during transaction processing at the transaction terminal.
PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION UNIT AND AUTOMATED PRODUCT DETECTION SYSTEM
A conveyor unit distributes products and an automated product and item recognition system use such a unit. The technology is usable in customer self-service checkouts, as well as in automated warehouses for sorting products. The distribution unit includes at least one horizontal conveyor to move products to the recognition unit, at least two vertical conveyors placed above at least one horizontal conveyor and oriented at an angle to the movement axis of the horizontal conveyor, and at least one sensor to identify the position of products on conveyors. The horizontal and vertical conveyors are designed to enable the independent adjustment of the conveyor speed based on the readings received from at least one sensor. The approach provides improved accuracy and performance for automated recognition of products with different shapes, weights, or sizes and simplified use of the automated system without any need for the placement of products in sequence.
