20220407759 · 2022-12-22 ·

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an indication of a tolerance for interference associated with peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) signaling, the PAPR signaling including one or more of space frequency multi-user (SFMU) signaling or tone reservation signaling. The UE may receive, via a downlink channel, a downlink communication having the PAPR signaling applied to subcarriers of the downlink channel based at least in part on the indication of the tolerance for interference. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support a single carrier multi-level coding (MLC) amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) modulated waveform. For example, a user equipment (UE) capable to communicate using MLC APSK modulated waveforms may transmit a channel state information (CSI) report, including a recommendation for a waveform configuration, to a base station. The base station may receive the CSI report and may transmit a configuration message to the UE, which may configure the UE with a set of waveform parameters associated with MLC APSK modulation. The UE may receive the configuration message and may communicate with the base station using MLC APSK modulated waveforms and based on the set of waveform parameters, which may reduce phase noise and provide lower peak average power ratio (PAPR) signaling.

Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing Peak Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in signal transmissions are described. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes determining, for an input sequence, an output sequence corresponding to an output of a convolutional modulation between a plurality of values and an intermediate sequence. The intermediate sequence is generated by inserting a set of coefficients between coefficients of the input sequence. Each non-zero coefficient of the set of coefficients is inserted between a first adjacent coefficient and a second adjacent coefficient. Each non-zero coefficient has a power that is between a first power of the first adjacent coefficient and a second power of the second adjacent coefficient and a phase value between a first phase value of the first adjacent coefficient and a second phase value of the second adjacent coefficient. The method also includes generating a waveform using the output sequence.

Methods of using phases to reduce bandwidths or to transport data with multimedia codecs using only magnitudes or amplitudes.

Multimedia codecs (compression methods), based only on FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) have been recently proposed. These codecs use the largest points (foreground) and the most energetic bands (background). Medium quality versions are based on the largest local peaks only.

The phases can be ignored with the largest local peaks or in the background. Alternatively, sine and cosine amplitudes can be used.

This invention describes methods for giving utility to the reintroduced phases, in particular: local peaks are grouped to have a very narrow bandwidth, with the phases containing the displacements of these peaks, and we transport data and the points of the foreground in the phases of the background.

High speed communications are supported using techniques similar to OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing). These processes are intended to be used in particular with connected objects and in the physical layers of computer networks.

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND DEVICE, CHIP SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

This application discloses a data transmission method that includes: scrambling to-be-transmitted data, to obtain scrambled data; and sending the scrambled data to a receive device. The initialization bits of a scrambler used to scramble the data include a first bit sequence and a second bit sequence. The first bit sequence is carried in a service field of the to-be-transmitted data, the second bit sequence reuses a bit in a signal field of a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), and the quantity of the initialization bits is equal to the order of the scrambler. In embodiments of this application, when the transmit device and the receive device use the scrambler with a higher order than that in the conventional technology, the initialization bits of the scrambler are based on bits in an existing service field used for data scrambling and reused bits in some signal fields.
