A bit interleaver, a bit-interleaved coded modulation (BICM) device and a bit interleaving method are disclosed herein. The bit interleaver includes a first memory, a processor, and a second memory. The first memory stores a low-density parity check (LDPC) codeword having a length of 64800 and a code rate of 7/15. The processor generates an interleaved codeword by interleaving the LDPC codeword on a bit group basis. The size of the bit group corresponds to a parallel factor of the LDPC codeword. The second memory provides the interleaved codeword to a modulator for quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation.
Transmitting apparatus and signal processing method thereof
A transmitting apparatus and a receiving apparatus are provided. The transmitting apparatus includes: an encoder configured to generate a low density parity check (LDPC) codeword by performing LDPC encoding; an interleaver configured to interleave the LDPC codeword; and a modulator configured to modulate the interleaved LDPC codeword according to a modulation method to generate a modulation symbol. The interleaver includes a block interleaver formed of a plurality of columns each comprising a plurality of rows, and the block interleaver is configured to divide the plurality of columns into at least two parts and interleave the LDPC codeword.
Method and apparatus for wireless communications with unequal error protection
In accordance with embodiments, methods for data communications are disclosed. A device obtains a forward error correction (FEC) encoded bit stream. The device maps the FEC encoded bit stream to produce a set of symbols according to a bit-to-symbol mapping rule. The bit-to-symbol mapping rule comprises a first mapper bit position associated with a first mapper error protection level and a second mapper bit position associated with a second mapper error protection level. The first mapper error protection level is greater than the second mapper error protection level. The device then transmits the set of symbols in the communications system.
Reed-solomon coding for 40GBASE-T ethernet
A BASE-T Ethernet transceiver is disclosed. The transceiver includes a BASE-T Ethernet transmit circuit that employs a data framing module. The data framing module includes an input interface to receive Ethernet block data bits, and logic to aggregate the Ethernet block data bits in accordance with a 512/513B code. A forward error correction encoder is coupled to the logic to encode at least a first portion of the data bits to generate first error check bits. A Reed-Solomon (RS) encoder is coupled to the logic to encode at least a second portion of the data bits in accordance with a Reed-Solomon error code to generate second error check bits.
Data Transmitting or Receiving Method and Device for Dual TBs, Transmitter and Receiver
Provided are a data transmitting or receiving method and device for dual Transport Blocks (TBs), a transmitter and a receiver. Data to be transmitted is divided into two portions, where transport blocks TB1 and TB2 are generated respectively according to a corresponding predetermined Modulation Coding Scheme (MCS) for each portion. The TB1 is modulated into an amplitude weighted complex symbol sequence S1, and the TB2 is modulated into an amplitude weighted complex symbol sequence S2. The S1 and the S2 are superposed to generate a complex symbol sequence S3 corresponding to a new TB, where the complex symbol sequence S3 corresponding to the new TB possesses Gray properties. The new TB is transmitted to a receiver.
