In some embodiments, a set of holding structures, weights and/or magnets associated with a drinking vessel applies holding force(s) to ice within a drinking vessel. In some embodiments, a beverage is then poured over the ice, at least partially submerging it and chilling the beverage. In some method embodiments, suction-molds with customized shapes and designs are used as the water is frozen within the drinking vessel, creating ice sculptures affixed to the inside of the drinking vessel. In other aspects, holding pressure is maintained even if the frozen water partially melts. In some embodiments, a control system within weights or the drinking vessel implements lighting effects, cooling effects, and gas or other infusions, into the beverage.
