APPLICATION MONITORING PRIORITIZATION

An approach for establishing a priority ranking for endpoints in a network. This can be useful when triaging endpoints after an endpoint becomes compromised. Ensuring that the most critical and vulnerable endpoints are triaged first can help maintain network stability and mitigate damage to endpoints in the network after an endpoint is compromised. The present technology involves determining a criticality ranking and a secondary value for a first endpoint in a datacenter. The criticality ranking and secondary value can be combined to form priority ranking for the first endpoint which can then be compared to a priority ranking for a second endpoint to determine if the first endpoint or the second endpoint should be triaged first.

Round trip time (RTT) measurement based upon sequence number

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for determining a packet's round trip time (RTT) in a network. A system can receive information of a packet sent by a component of the network and further determine an expected acknowledgement (ACK) sequence number associated with the packet based upon received information of the packet. The system can receive information of a subsequent packet received by the component and determine an ACK sequence number and a receiving time of the subsequent packet. In response to determining that the ACK sequence number of the subsequent TCP packet matches the expected ACK sequence number, the system can determine a round trip time (RTT) of the packet based upon the received information of the packet and the received information of the subsequent packet.

A traffic-aware switch-shared cache scheduling method includes: S1, setting a cache threshold of each outgoing port of a switch according to a traffic state of each outgoing port of the switch; S2, monitoring each outgoing port of the switch to determine whether an event of packet entry queue, packet exit queue, packet loss, buffer overflow or port queue state change occurs; S3, determining a traffic state of the outgoing port according to the event that occurs at the outgoing port and corresponding port queue state information; S4, setting a port control state according to the traffic state of the outgoing port; and S5, adjusting the cache threshold corresponding to the outgoing port according to the port control state, and performing S2 to continue monitoring until the switch stops working.

Detection of network measurement inaccuracies

The disclosure describes techniques for detecting network measurement inaccuracies through the detection of sender delays or packet drops. For example, a sender device of a test packet may determine whether the sender device is experiencing any issues in sending the test packet to a receiver device and notify a controller of the issues such that the controller may generate an indication that one or more Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurements based on the test packets from the sender device are inaccurate and/or untrustworthy, remove the inaccurate KPI measurements, and/or adjust the inaccurate KPI measurements.

Apparatus And Method For Identifying Device Communication Failures In Communication Networks

An apparatus and method is disclosed for identifying the root cause of device communication failures in a communication network comprising collecting communication data transmitted and received on the communication network from a controller and one or more devices operably connected to the communication network and analyzing the collected communication data to diagnose if communication data is local looping or has been lost between the controller and the one or more devices and the location of the fault in the communication network.

System and method for intent based network slice assignment

A method for network slice assignment including: defining an intent for at least one network slice; selecting at least one network slice instance has capability to meet the intent; monitoring the selected network slice instance to determine whether the selected network slice instance is achieving the intent; and if the intent is not being met, reprioritizing at least one network slice instance in order to prioritize the selected network slice instance; if the intent is being met, continue monitoring the selected network slice instance. A system for network slice assignment including: a selection module configured to define an intent for at least one network slice and select at least one network slice; a monitoring module configured to monitor the selected network slice instance; an analysis module configured to determine if the intent is being met; and a reprioritization module configured to reprioritize at least one network slice.

CAPACITY AGNOSTIC SCORING OF NETWORK PATH HEALTH BASED ON PACKET LOSS

A network path scoring system is disclosed herein that scores quality of network paths to facilitate identification of poorly performing circuits for investigation. The scoring system builds a profile with packet loss data in relation to a load corresponding to a network path. The profile indicates the percentiles of packet loss at each bucket or bin of load based on the packet loss data. Using the profile for the network path, the scoring system calculates a capacity agnostic score based on a non-zero boundary in the profile across at least a subset of the load bins.

Systems and methods for optimal channel selection

Embodiments described herein provide an optimal communication channel recommendation engine by assessing whether the environment the customer is situated in is conducive to the channel selected by the customer. Specifically, the optimal channel recommendation engine obtains data artifacts indicative of ambient noise, motion, customer sentiment, network quality, customer focus, and/or the like to assess quality of the environment and recommend an optimal channel for the communication between the customer and the call agent. With the recommendation to switch to a different channel, the client component resumes communication with the new channel and retains the context of the interaction.
