Dynamic bandwidth allocation method and related device
This application provides a dynamic bandwidth allocation method and a related device. The method includes: receiving, by a dynamic bandwidth allocation device, bandwidth request messages from bandwidth request devices through at least two access ports of a convergence device, wherein the bandwidth request messages include requested bandwidth information; allocating bandwidth information to the bandwidth request device based on the requested bandwidth information and remaining bandwidth information of an upstream egress port of the convergence device, wherein the remaining bandwidth information is a difference between limited bandwidth information of the upstream egress port and bandwidth information already allocated; and sending a response message to the bandwidth request device through the access port.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NETWORK SLICE USAGE SUBSCRIPTION
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice usage subscription service is provided. The network slice usage subscription service may allow a network device to obtain network slice usage information and event notifications. The event notification may indicate when an end device is using a network slice and when the end device is no longer the network slice. The network device may include an application function (AF) device. The network device may use the event notification to perform an operation relating to the network slice and/or the end device.
Method and system for cloud service pre-provisioning
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with pre-provisioning instances of a service are described. In one embodiment, a method includes constructing pre-provisioned instances of a service within a pool. The pool may be evaluated to obtain a list of pre-provisioned instances in response to receiving a request for execution of the service. A pre-provisioned instance is selected from the list of pre-provisioned instances. The pre-provisioned instance then provisioned by retrieving and installing executable code of the service into a computing environment of the pre-provisioned instance. The example method may also include executing the provisioned instance.
PRE-ALLOCATING RESOURCES WITH HIERARCHY-BASED CONSTRAINTS
In a resource-pooling system, predictions can be made as to when and how resources may be needed by particular processes in the system. Requests can be made preemptively to client systems to pre-allocate resources such that resources are ready to use when needed. Client systems can submit constraints on how particular resources may be used by the system. In order to efficiently evaluate these constraints, the system may be organized into a hierarchy of groups, subsystems, and processes, and the constraints may be formulated to match this hierarchy. When resources need to be allocated, constraints may be evaluated using an algorithm that traverses levels of the hierarchy to quickly identify pre-allocations that are available for a particular process based on its location in the system hierarchy.
Method and system for processing NF component exception, and device
A method and a system for processing an NF component exception, where the method is applied to a network including user equipment, a first NF component, a second NF component, and an NF repository management function component. The method includes: receiving, by the NF repository management function component, an NF discovery request message that includes an identifier of a set to which the second NF component belongs; determining, by the NF repository management function component based on the identifier of the set to which the second NF component belongs, that a third NF component having a same function as the second NF component exists in the network; and sending, by the NF repository management function component to the first NF component, a first message that includes an identifier of the third NF component.
Performing slice based operations in a data plane circuit
Some embodiments of the invention provide a novel method of performing network slice-based operations on a data message at a hardware forwarding element (HFE) in a network. For a received data message flow, the method has the HFE identify a network slice associated with the received data message flow. This network slice in some embodiments is associated with a set of operations to be performed on the data message by several network elements, including one or more machines executing on one or more computers in the network. Once the network slice is identified, the method has the HFE process the data message flow based on a rule that applies to data messages associated with the identified slice.
Method And Apparatus For Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information Based Congestion Control In Mobile Communications
Various solutions for single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI) based congestion control with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may receive a message with a back-off timer from the network node. The apparatus may determine whether an S-NSSAI of a protocol data unit (PDU) session is provided by the network node. The apparatus may start the back-off timer and associate the back-off timer with the S-NSSAI of the PDU session in an event that the S-NSSAI is provided by the network node.
MANAGING MULTIPLE SELLERS OF RECORD FOR CLOUD SERVICES USING A SINGLE CLOUD MANAGEMENT SERVICE
Described herein are systems, methods, and software to manage multiple sellers of record in a cloud computing environment. In one example, a cloud management service can monitor resource usage in association one or more cloud service providers for each seller of record of a plurality of sellers of record for a customer organization. The cloud management service can further identify interface requirements for reporting the usage information to each of the sellers of record and can communicate the corresponding usage information to each of the sellers of record.
Method and system for sharing user configuration data between different computing sessions
A method includes receiving a request from a client device to establish a first computing session for a first resource hosted on a virtual machine (VM). The method includes generating a session transfer key for accessing a second resource provided by a second resource provider. The method includes issuing instructions, to the VM that hosts the first resource, for establishing a second computing session to host the second resource, wherein the instructions include a mapping of the session transfer key to a session identifier. The method includes providing the instructions to the client device to establish the second computing session for the second resource without input for the second resource from the user of the client device. The establishment of the second computing session being between the VM and the second resource provider and based on the mapping of the session transfer key to the session identifier.
Visualizing network traffic plans based on egress peer engineering
A traffic planning platform may receive information related to a traffic flow including a traffic bandwidth to transport through a network with various network devices interconnected by links. The traffic planning platform may generate a traffic plan by assigning the traffic flow to a set of the links that includes network resources connecting a source of the traffic flow to a destination of the traffic flow. The traffic planning platform may render a visualization of the traffic plan, wherein the visualization includes a user interface (e.g., a diagram, an animation, and/or the like) in which geometric shapes that represent the source, the peer link, and the destination are connected by bands that represent the tunnel and the external route and further in which the geometric shapes and the bands each have a first visual property and a second visual property based on the traffic bandwidth of the traffic flow.
