Stateless protocol translation

Some aspects of the methods and systems presented relate to performing stateless address translation between IPv4 capable devices to IPv6 capable networks and devices. Stateless address translation may form a new IPv6 addresses by combining the IPv4 address of a device with an IPv6 prefix address assigned to the translator. The translation may also combine the IPv4 destination address and UDP port information with the new IPv6 address. Existing Domain Name Systems (DNSs) may be leveraged for resolving the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses across different networks.

The method includes: receiving a message, wherein the message comprises an address identifying an extension element; determining, from the address, a location of the extension element identified by the address; responsive to determining the location of the extension element, directing the message to an appropriate location; and storing the message in a computer readable storage medium.

Local transparent extensibility and routing slip extensibility for business process execution language

The methods may also include applying an IP mapping rule to the obtained IP address assignment data points to generate IP address mapping.

Upon receiving a service access request from the virtual machine for accessing the service, the access network element modifies, according to the NAT rule, a destination address of the service access request into the IP address and the port of the physical server that provides the service, and routes the modified service access request to the physical server.

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for multicast and unicast MAC address assignment protocol (MUMAAP). A first node may transmit, to a second node, based on a unicast MAC address of the second node or a multicast MAC address associated with the second node, a discover message that may include a first MAC address or a first range of MAC addresses. The first node may receive an offer message with a second range of MAC addresses. If the first node selects a second MAC address from the received second range of MAC addresses, the first node may transmit a request message indicating that the second MAC address or the second range of MAC addresses is allocated to the first node. The first node may receive an acknowledge message indicating that the second MAC address or the second range of MAC addresses is allocated to the first node.

METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SERVICE CONTINUITY AND RELATED DEVICE

A method for implementing service continuity, performed by a session management (SM) function (SMF) network element may include receiving a target relocation message, the target relocation message carrying target traffic routing information, the target traffic routing information comprising a target data network (DN) access identifier (DNAI) and network address translation (NAT) information, the NAT information comprising a target user equipment (UE) network address, a first application server (AS) network address, and a second AS network address, wherein a target UE corresponding to the target UE network address has established a target protocol data unit (PDU) session to a first PDU session anchor (PSA) user plane function (UPF) network element and is configured to communicate with a first AS corresponding to the first AS network address.
