Utilizing proxy internet protocol addressing in a gateway for communicating with multiple service provider networks
09787503 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A gateway utilizes a proxy Internet Protocol (“IP”) addressing scheme to communicate with disparate network service providers. A first IP address prefix may be received from an alternative service provider in communication with the gateway. The gateway may assign a proxy IP address from the first IP address prefix for computing devices in communication with the gateway. A second IP address prefix may be received from a master service provider in communication with the gateway. The computing devices may be provisioned with an actual IP address assigned from the second IP address prefix. The gateway may then route data traffic utilizing the assigned proxy IP address between the alternative service provider and the computing devices utilizing the actual assigned proxy IP address. The gateway may further route data traffic utilizing the actual assigned IP address between the master service provider and the computing devices utilizing the actual assigned IP address.

System and method for enabling call originations using SMS and hotline capabilities

A method for handling call originations is provided. The method includes sending origination information from a mobile device to an application server in an enterprise network using Short Message Service (SMS) and determining whether a hotline feature is present in a subscriber profile associated with the mobile device. Data is then routed from the mobile device to a predetermined destination based on the hotline feature.

Video over LTE data usage metering
09826380 · 2017-11-21 · ·

The techniques for metering Video over LTE (ViLTE) data usage may ensure data consumption by subscribers are in line with their recurring service plans. A request to establish a video bearer between a mobile telecommunication network and a user device for a multimedia call may be received at a policy engine of a mobile telecommunication network. Subsequently, information that indicates a connection type used by the user device to connect to the mobile telecommunication network may be retrieved from a gateway of the network. The video bearer for a video over wireless local area network call of the user device may be established without ViLTE data usage metering in response to the user device having a WLAN connection type. However, the video bearer for a ViLTE call may be established with ViLTE data usage metering in response to the user device having a LTE connection type.

Call processing server, call processing method, and call processing program

In a case where there are a plurality of query destination servers, the number of queries to determine a connection destination network is reduced and the load in call processing is reduced. The call processing server 1 includes a destination resolution storage unit 13 that stores a telephone number and a query order of a query made to at least one server until a connection destination network for the telephone number is acquired; and a call processing unit 11 that acquires a query order corresponding to a telephone number of an incoming-call destination specified in a call request from the destination resolution storage unit, makes a query to a server set at the end of the acquired query order to acquire a connection destination network for the telephone number of the incoming-call destination, and transmits the call request to the connection destination network.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR EMPLOYING NON-RELATED COMMUNICATION ARCHITECTURE FOR SIGNALING IN ANOTHER COMMUNICATION ARCHITECTURE

A system (20A), topology, and methods to provide signals to devices (30A-I) in a real-time media communication architecture (10A-C) via another communication architecture or server (50) including a push signal architecture. The push signal may direct a device (30A-I) to re-register with a real-time media communication system (20A) in order to participate in a real-time media event. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Gateway device, system, and communication method

A gateway device includes a communication unit communicating a frame signal conforming to an IuUP (Iu User Plane) protocol with a wireless base station controller connected to a circuit switching network; a determination unit determining whether the frame signal received by the communication unit satisfies a predetermined condition or not; a conversion unit converting information included in the frame signal to information to be set in a flow control signal of an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) when the frame signal satisfies the predetermined condition; and a flow control signal transmission unit transmitting the flow control signal to a communication device in the IMS.

WebRTC data channel facilitating IMS support of RCS features

A gateway may be configured to establish a first data connection between the gateway device and a client device. The first data connection may be based on a Web Real-Time Communication application programming interface. The gateway may establish a second data connection between the gateway device and an Internet Protocol (“IP”) Multimedia Subsystem (“IMS”) core; and facilitate communications, that are based on a Rich Communication Services (“RCS”) standard, between the client device and the IMS core. Facilitating the communications may include outputting communications, that are based on communications received from the client device via the first data connection, to the IMS core via the second data connection, and outputting communications, that are based on communications received from the IMS core via the second data connection, to the client device via the first data connection.

CALL LEG QUALITY DIFFERENTIATION IN NETWORK TELEPHONY SYSTEMS

Network telephony monitoring systems are provided herein. In one example, a monitoring service is configured to present an interface for a network telephony monitoring system to receive link metrics for media legs of a packet voice call that extends from an originating network over a plurality of transport networks, with each of the media legs spanning between border control nodes of the plurality of transport networks. A leg quality processor is configured to process the link metrics to differentiate quality degradation of the packet voice call among one or more of the media legs.

Method and system for transfer of call control

According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method is disclosed for a SIPIMR node to withdraw from a SIP session set-up loop by replying a redirect message to the SIP Invite sending node. The redirect message contains information for setting up alternative SIP session, said information being available in the SIP Invite receiving node. This information is usable by the SIPIMS node for establishing an alternative SIP session as well as information needed by other nodes and applications further on in the SIP session set-up loop. The SIPIMS node is specially adapted to retrieve the information from the redirect message for establishing a new SIP session based on and containing the information from the redirect message. Several implementations are given for use in an IP Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network.

LOCATING AND IDENTIFYING PAIRED ELECTRONIC DEVICES
20220312074 · 2022-09-29 ·

An electronic device, method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium provide a function of locating and identifying a paired device in a wireless network. The wireless network communicatively connects a plurality of electronic devices including the electronic device and the paired device. The electronic device includes a user interface, a network interface, a hardware processor, and a non-transitory memory storing one or more programs. The hardware processor executes the programs to receive a search command using a first communication connection via the network interface. Moreover, the hardware processor executes the programs to determine whether the peer device identifying information matches identifying information of the electronic device. When the peer device identifying information matches the identifying information of the electronic device, the electronic device identifies as the paired device. Otherwise, the electronic device broadcasts to the wireless network using a second communication connection.
