METHOD FOR PROVIDING VOICE SERVICE TO ROAMING WIRELESS USERS

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system authenticates a communication device roaming from a home network that does not support Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) roaming, and in which the processing system communicates with a packet gateway (PGW) of an evolved packet core (EPC) separate from the processing system, to facilitate communication between the communication device and a subsystem of the EPC; the subsystem emulates the home network to provide a VoLTE roaming service to the communication device. The communication device also engages in a session initiation protocol (SIP) with the subsystem to initiate a communication session with the subsystem; in accordance with the communication session, the subsystem provides the VoLTE roaming service to the communication device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Gx session recovery for policy and charging rules function

A Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) can maintain a mapping table that associates gateway identifiers of gateways in a packet core network with corresponding IP address ranges. Based on an IP address of user equipment (UE), the PCRF can identify which of the IP address ranges in the mapping table over the UE's IP address, and which gateway identifier is mapped to that IP address range. The PCRF can accordingly contact the identified gateway to establish a Gx session for the UE with the gateway, such as restoring a previous Gx session or establishing a new Gx session.

CALLING LINE/NAME IDENTIFICATION OF ENTERPRISE SUBSCRIBERS IN MOBILE CALLS

A system, server, and method of DTMF detection in a VoIP network.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING CALL ORIGINATIONS USING SMS AND HOTLINE CAPABILITIES

A method for handling call originations is provided. The method includes sending origination information from a mobile device to an application server in an enterprise network using Short Message Service (SMS) and determining whether a hotline feature is present in a subscriber profile associated with the mobile device. Data is then routed from the mobile device to a predetermined destination based on the hotline feature.

Described are techniques for video bridging for conversion of IP network video streams to the USB Video Class (UVC). The conversion of IP video to UVC video can include the use of software-only conversions and hardware assisted conversions, and can be done within purpose-built “conversion” devices or as software only solutions operating within applications or drivers within the operating systems of the “end nodes”. The end-nodes simultaneously see and use multiple USB UVC video sources. The conversion process can also convert the USB UVC video control protocol to IP Video Stream control protocols.

Gateway action framework

Disclosed are various examples of an action framework for configuring a gateway to perform actions on the gateway itself or in conjunction with connected IoT devices. In some embodiments, a gateway client is permitted on a gateway device using a gateway configuration received from a management service. A command callback function is registered in association the gateway client. An action message is received. The action message specifies an action corresponding to the command callback function. The gateway client using the action message. A command object for the gateway client is generated based on the action message. The command callback function is invoked, and the gateway client processes the command object to perform the action.

Applying Shaken Procedures to Legacy Protocols

In one embodiment, a network interface is operable to receive a communication request over a communication link of a radio access network. A processor communicatively coupled to the network interface receives the communication request from a first networked device over a communication link of a radio access network via a first communication protocol. The communication request comprises caller information. The processor then verifies caller information and obtains an authenticator, associated with the caller information, that indicates the communication request is authorized to be routed to a second networked device. The second networked device is configured to receive communications via a second communication protocol.

Method and system of providing second generation (2G) voice services over Internet protocol

A system to provide second generation (2G) voice services over internet protocol, the system including: a voice gateway (VGW) including a 2G stack to communicate control plane information and user plane information with a 2G user terminal (UT) via a circuit-switched network without modifications to the 2G-UT, an Iu-CS IP stack, and a relay to map the control plane information between the 2G stack and the Iu-CS IP stack, and vice-versa; a mobile switching center (MSC), connected to the VGW via the Iu-CS IP stack, to manage and establish the voice services between the 2G-UT and a public switched telephone network (PSTN) based on the mapped control plane information; and a media gateway (MGW) connected to the VGW via the Iu-CS IP stack, where the MGW communicates the user plane information between the 2G-UT and the PSTN after the MSC 2-G UT vocoder, e.g. AMBE, has established voice services.

Mobile device system and method for preventing network signal interception and hacking

The present invention pertains to a method and system for preventing unauthorized access via signal interception and hacking to a user's secure mobile device. One embodiment of the system further comprises an encryption server in communication with the secure mobile device, a clear server in communication with a clear mobile device, and a termination gateway in connection with secure and clear POTS phones on the PSTN. The termination gateway communicates with the clear and encryption servers by IP tunneling. The system enables universal access between secure and non-secure packet-switched phone lines, operating via the Internet, and clear and secure circuit-switched phone lines operating on the PSTN.
