Secure forum facilitator in controlled environment
An forum facilitator device is provided that allows for a controlled environment to provide a secure forum for residents to provide communications to other registered users of the secure forum. The communications are provided through posts made in the secure forum and through other types of communications from the inmate such as but not limited to emails and text messages. The forum facilitator device operates the secure forum and implements rules to control what is posted on the secure forum, who is able to access the secure forum, and what entities are allowed to view and interact with residents of the controlled environment.
Peer-to-peer connections based on user-defined probability assertions
A method of correlating probability assertions and resource allocations includes receiving a first probability assertion and a first resource allocation from a first client device; receiving a second probability assertion and a second resource allocation from a second client device; correlating the first probability assertion with the second probability assertion by matching characteristics of the first probability assertion with characteristics of the second probability assertion; and creating a peer-to-peer match between the first request on the second request from the client devices.
Resolving decentralized identifiers at customized security levels
The resolving of a decentralized identifier at a customized security level. When a decentralized identity is resolved, it is resolved into a data structure (e.g., a document) that corresponds to the decentralized identity. The resolving includes causing a user interface to be rendered to the user, detecting user interaction with the user interface, and then based on that user interaction identifying a level of resolver security to use when resolving that decentralized identifier. The method then resolve the decentralized identity using that identifier level of resolver security. As an example, higher levels of resolver security may be obtained by using consensus from multiple resolvers.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING SERVICE DISCOVERY IN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device and a service discovery method in the electronic device are provided. The device includes at least one communication module, a processor operatively connected with the at least one communication module, and a memory operatively connected with the at least one communication module and the processor. The memory may store instructions configured to, when executed, enable the processor to configure a neighbor awareness network (NAN) cluster communicating with a plurality of external electronic devices based on a first communication protocol, through the at least one communication module, identify a service target device among the plurality of external electronic devices, while operating with the plurality of external electronic devices based on the first communication protocol, in response to a service discovery request, and allow at least one external electronic device, except for the service target device among the plurality of external electronic devices, to deactivate at least one function related to the first communication protocol, through the at least one communication module, based on identifying the service target device.
Method, System, and Computer Program Product for Maintaining Data Centers
A method, system, and computer program product for maintaining data centers obtain input data; communicate an update request associated with the input data to a node of a plurality of nodes; receive an indication that the update request failed; communicate a result request for result data associated with processing of the input data to the node of the plurality of nodes until the result data associated with processing of the input data is received; and in response to receiving the result data associated with processing of the input data from the node, process the result data.
Fleet location sharing application in association with services provision
A system for exchanging GPS or other position data between wireless devices for purposes of group activities, child location monitoring, work group coordination, dispatching of employees etc. Cell phones and other wireless devices with GPS receivers have loaded therein a Buddy Watch application and a TalkControl application. The Buddy Watch application communicates with the GPS receiver and other wireless devices operated by buddies registered in the users phone as part of buddy groups or individually. GPS position data and historical GPS position data can be exchanged between cell phones of buddies and instant buddies such as tow truck drivers via a buddy watch server. Emergency monitoring services can be set up with notifications to programmable individuals in case an individual does not respond. Positions and tracks can be displayed. TalkControl simplifies and automates the process of joining talk groups for walkie talkie services such as that provided by Nextel.
Configuring and deploying gateway connectors and workflows for data sources at client networks
An OT-IT (operational technology-information technology) service of a provider network allows operators to configure gateway connectors for data sources (e.g., machines at an industrial site) and allows developers to specify workflows that consume data from the data sources. To do so, the OT-IT service provides an operator interface to receive topology data for the client's remote network. The OT-IT service configures connectors for data sources based on the topology data and deploys the connectors to gateway devices. The OT-IT service also provides a developer interface to present available data sources and to receive specifications for workflows that consume data from the data sources. The OT-IT service deploys the workflows to execution locations. The OT-IT service then configures the gateways to send tagged data from the connectors to the workflows for processing.

Peer-to-peer network for telecommunication network traffic rerouting
Devices, computer-readable media and methods are disclosed for establishing a peer-to-peer network for rerouting network traffic of a telecommunication network during a network disruption. For example, a processing system may detect a network disruption between a first device and a second device of the telecommunication network. The processing system may identify a first peering device having a connection to the first device of the telecommunication network, identify a second peering device having a connection to the second device of the telecommunication network, and establish a peer-to-peer network via at least the first peering device and the second peering device, wherein at least one of the first peering device or the second peering device is a mobile endpoint device configured to operate as a virtual network function. The processing system may then route network traffic between the first device and the second device via the peer-to-peer network.
