PACKET PROCESSING OF STREAMING CONTENT IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
Aspects of present disclosure include devices within a transmission path of streamed content forwarding received data packets of the stream to the next device or “hop” in the path prior to buffering the data packet at the device. In this method, typical buffering of the data stream may therefore occur at the destination device for presentation at a consuming device, while the devices along the transmission path may transmit a received packet before buffering. Further, devices along the path may also buffer the content stream after forwarding to fill subsequent requests for dropped data packets of the content stream. Also, in response to receiving the request for the content stream, a device may first transmit a portion of the contents of the gateway buffer to the requesting device to fill a respective buffer at the receiving device.
Sparse information sharing system
In an approach for a sparse information sharing system, a processor receives a request from a host owner for a host to become a server of an information sharing system, wherein the request specifies at least one type of information the server will maintain and provide to visitors of the server. A processor syncs the server with other servers of the information sharing system with information of the specified at least one type of information. A processor, responsive to the server receiving updated information from a visitor of the server, notifies the other servers of the updated information.

Data set and node cache-based scheduling method and device
Disclosed is a data set and node cache-based scheduling method, which includes: obtaining storage resource information of each host node; in response to receiving a training task, obtaining operation information of the training task, and according to the operation information and the storage resource information, screening host nodes that satisfy a space required by the training task; in response to no host node satisfying the space required by the training task, scoring each host node according to the storage resource information; according to scoring results, selecting, from among all of the host nodes, a host node to be executed that is used to execute the training task; and obtaining and deleting an obsolete data set cache in the host node to be executed, and executing the training task in the host node to be executed.
Data sharing in geographically partitioned networks
Techniques are disclosed for the sharing and transferring of user data in online network systems operating in multiple jurisdictions. The different jurisdictions may be, for example, different geo-partitions in an online network system. Various techniques are disclosed for providing cross-partition operational functionalities (e.g., cross-geo transactions) between geo-partitioned server systems through the sharing and transferring of data between the geo-partitions. The geo-partitions may have established permissions for data that can be shared between the geo-partitions. A server system in one geo-partition may generate an auxiliary account from a subset of data shared across the geo-partitions that complies with the data permissions. Complying with the established data permissions may inhibit overlapping between the different laws or regulations of the geo-partitions.

TECHNOLOGIES FOR CROSS-DEVICE SHARED WEB RESOURCE CACHE
Technologies for cross-device shared web resource caching include a client device and a shared cache device. The client device scans for a shared cache device in local proximity to the client device and, in response to the scan, registers with the shared cache device. After registering, the client device requests a cached web resource from the shared cache device. The shared cache device determines whether a cached web resource that matches the request is installed in a shared cache. The shared cache device may determine whether an origin of the request matches the origin of the cached web resource. If installed, the shared cache device sends a found response and the cached web resource to the client device. If not installed, the shared cache device sends a not-found response and the client device may request the web resource from a remote web server. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
CONTENT CACHE INVALIDATION USING CACHE TAGS
One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for content cache invalidation using cache tags are provided. A first proxy hop may receive a request from a client device for a content object originating from a content source. A cache tagging script is executed to add a query parameter to the request to create a modified request. The query parameter specifies a cache tag version for the content object. The modified request is transmitted through one or more subsequent proxy hops to the content source to retrieve the content object. The content object, tagged with a cache tag specifying the cache tag version, is cached as a cached content object within a cache. The cache tag is associated with an expiration timestamp after which the cached content object is designated to be invalid.
Managing overlapping communications between downtiering and invalidating cached data among nodes in a storage system
A method is used for managing overlapping communications regarding downtiering and invalidating cached data among nodes in a storage system. The method includes identifying, by a node, data to downtier. The node adds the data to an in progress table, and sends a request for permission to downtier the data to a peer node. The node receives permission from the peer node to downtier the data. In response to the permission to downtier the data, the node checks the in progress table for the data and takes an action based on a result of checking the in progress table.
