The foldable display includes a first region, a second region, and a third region. When the electronic device is in a folded form, the second region is bent. The message display method includes displaying a first interface of a first application in the first region; receiving a first message of a second application; displaying the first message in the first region; detecting a first flipping action; and displaying the first message in the second region.

Disclosed is an electronic device comprising: a display, a sensor configured to detect geometric deformation of the electronic device, at least one processor, and a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor and storing at least one application. The memory may include one or more instructions which, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: control the display to display an execution screen of the at least one application on the display in response to execution of the at least one application in the memory; check a rotation mode setting of the electronic device; obtain display characteristic information of the display in response to a geometric deformation event detected by the sensor; determine a display mode of the execution screen based on the display characteristic information and the checked rotation mode setting and map same to the at least one application; and control the display to display the execution screen on the display based on the mapped display mode.
Foldable Electronic Device
A foldable electronic device that includes a first display area, a second display area, and a fourth display area, when the foldable electronic device is bent inwards to be in a folded state, shortcut information is displayed and interaction is performed using the fourth display area and the third display area to enable a user to view information and perform the interaction without unfolding the foldable electronic device.

The electronic device includes a flexible display including a first display area and a second display area that is transparent, a camera module including a first camera module and a second camera module, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor may be configured to execute a camera module application in a first state in which the second display area covers the first camera module, and when properties of a first transparent region are changed by adjusting an electrical signal with respect to the first transparent region of the second display area which abuts the first camera module, display an image received from the first camera module on a second transparent region of the first display area or a second transparent region of the second display area by reflecting the changed properties of the first transparent region for the image.

The information processing method is applied to an electrical device having at least a processing unit, the electrical device has a plurality of usage modes and further includes a plurality of sensing units. The method includes acquiring, by the processing unit, data collected by the plurality of the sensing units; judging whether the electrical device is in a first usage mode according to the acquired data collected by the plurality of the sensing units; wherein the first usage mode is one of the plurality of the usage modes. With the present method, objects of integrating a plurality of usage modes into one electrical device and judging a usage mode corresponding to a current application scene efficiently are realized.
Electronic Devices With Flexible Display Cover Layers
An electronic device may have a hinge that allows the device to be flexed about a bend axis. A display may span the bend axis. To facilitate bending about the bend axis without damage, the display may include a display cover layer with a flexible portion. The flexible portion of the display cover layer may be interposed between first and second rigid portions of the display cover layer. The display cover layer may also include a layer with self-healing properties. The layer of self-healing material may be formed across the entire display cover layer or may be formed only in the flexible region of the display cover layer. The display cover layer may include a layer of elastomer in the flexible region of the display cover layer for increased flexibility. Self-healing may be initiated or expedited by externally applied heat, light, electric current, or other type of external stimulus.

A deformable electronic device includes a flexible display, one or more sensors, at least one imager, and one or more processors. The one or more sensors detect deformation of the deformable electronic device. The at least one imager, which is disposed beneath the flexible display, captures one or more images of an identifiable marker of the flexible display in response to the one or more sensors detecting the deformation of the deformable electronic device. The one or more processors estimate an amount of the deformation of the deformable electronic device as a function of how far the identifiable marker of the flexible display translates across the at least one imager during the deformation of the deformable electronic device.
