A foldable electronic device includes a first and second housings foldably coupled through a hinge, a flexible display supported by the first and second housings, a first speaker disposed in the first housing and a second speaker disposed in the second housing. The electronic device determines first and second states in which the first and second housings unfolded or folded. The electronic device controls sound frequency characteristics of the first and second speakers to have first sound frequency characteristics with the electronic device being in the first state. The electronic device controls sound frequency characteristics of the first speaker to have second sound frequency characteristics with the electronic device being in the second state. The electronic device may also control sound frequency characteristics of the second speaker to have third sound output frequency characteristics with the electronic device being in the second state.

There is a demand for an information processing terminal capable of correctly displaying a display on a divided display even when the display is bent. Therefore, proposed is an information processing terminal capable of bending a display unit, the information processing terminal including: the display unit; a sensor unit that detects an inclination and a rotation direction of the information processing terminal, and detects a bending amount with respect to the information processing terminal; and a screen control unit that divides display of the display unit based on a bending position with respect to the information processing terminal, and controls the display divided based on the inclination, the rotation direction, the bending position, and the bending amount.

Disclosed are a foldable assembly of an electronic device and an electronic device. The electronic device may be a terminal product that includes a foldable flexible display. Sliding parts are respectively disposed on two sides of a rotating shaft part, the sliding parts include an upper bracket and a lower bracket, and the upper bracket and the lower bracket can be enclosed to form an arc-shaped slide. A main swing arm is further disposed on the door plate, the door plate can rotate around the rotating shaft part and drive a fitting segment of the main swing arm to slide along the arc-shaped slide, and each upper bracket is an independent structure.

An electronic device has a structure in which two portions between which a bent portion of a display panel is positioned are each fixed to a housing. The electronic device takes two forms of a form in which the display panel is opened and a form in which the display panel is folded in three. The electronic device includes a mechanism for sliding two housings parallel to each other. The display panel is changed in shape so that a portion where a display surface of the display panel is convexly curved and a portion where the display surface of the display panel is concavely curved in the folded state move in directions parallel and opposite to each other. At this time, the two portions of the display panel which are supported by the housings are slid while their display surfaces maintain a state parallel to each other.

A display device includes a display panel and an impact resistance layer. The display panel includes a first display area, a second display area, a first folding display area between the first display area and the second display area, a third display area, and a second folding display area between the second display area and the third display area. The first folding display area is out-foldable such that the first display area is faces outside the display device. The impact resistance layer includes a first portion corresponding to the first display area, the first folding display area and the second display area and a second portion corresponding to the second display area, the second folding display area, and the third display area. The first portion has an elastic modulus greater than the second portion.
COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE WITH EXTENDABLE SCREEN
A portable communications device includes a first screen and a second screen. A third screen may be provided. The device includes a housing into in and from which each of the second and/or third screens may be retracted and extended. When retracted, outer edges of the second and/or third screens encase opposing sides of the first screen. A cavity in the housing is provided into which the second and third screens may be retracted. Track mechanisms and bearing mechanisms may support and facilitate extension and retraction of the second and third screens. Spring mechanisms facilitate alignment of the first, second and third screens. Holding and/or cooperative release mechanisms may be used to respectively hold and release the second and third screens within the housing.
Folding device of foldable display and display device having the same
Disclosed are a folding device of a foldable display and a display device having the same. The folding device is rotatable sequentially or in stages through a plurality of unit hinges rotated relative to one another about multiple axes. Therefore, the folding device is applicable to both an inner folding type and an outer folding type, and the respective unit hinges are rotated by gear motions and may thus be stably rotated and assure reliability.
Portable electronic device and method of providing haptic feedback
A method for providing haptic feedback at a portable electronic device including a touch-sensitive display and a physical keyboard comprising depressible keys and touch sensors for detecting touches thereon, is provided. In response to detecting a first touch on the physical keyboard, which physical keyboard is moveable relative to the touch-sensitive display, between a first position in which the physical keyboard is exposed for use and a second position in which the physical keyboard is not exposed, wherein the first touch is associated with haptic feedback, first haptic feedback is provided to the physical keyboard. In response to detecting a second touch on the touch-sensitive display when the physical keyboard is in the second position in which the physical keyboard is not exposed, wherein the second touch is associated with haptic feedback, second haptic feedback is provided to the touch-sensitive display.
