A computing system includes a base processing device, as well as a display device having a screen. In an attached mode, the base processing device is mechanically attached to the base processing device, and is to display a user interface on the display device using a mechanical data connection between the base processing device and the display device. In a detached mode, the base processing device is mechanically detached from the display device, and is to render the user interface and transmit the rendered user interface to the display device over a wireless data connection between the base processing device and the display device. The display device is to receive and responsively display the rendered user interface.

Voice call management in a modular smartphone

In an embodiment of the disclosed principles, a modular portable device includes a first module acting as a traditional high-function phone or smartphone and a second module that adds enhanced functionality to the first module. When the modules are separated, they may operate independently of each other. In an embodiment, when the first module and the second module are docked together and a voice call is placed with the first module, the earpiece speaker, microphone, and cellular connection of the first module are utilized. During the voice call, a Bluetooth connection between the first module and the second module may be established in anticipation of an undocking event to eliminate a delay in audio transfer from the first module to the second module.

Electronic device including antenna and stylus pen

An electronic device including an antenna and a stylus pen, that can reduce antenna performance degradation, is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a conductive part and at least one cut-off portion formed in the conductive part, a printed circuit board disposed inside the housing, a wireless communication interface disposed on the printed circuit board, and a stylus pen, wherein the conductive part may be electrically connected to the wireless communication interface, wherein the stylus pen may include at least one cut-off portion, and at least one magnet enabling attachment and detachment to and from the housing, and wherein when the stylus pen is attached to the housing, the at least one cut-off portion formed in the conductive part and the at least one cut-off portion formed in the stylus pen are aligned.

Mobile terminal, combined terminal device and method for splicing control

A mobile terminal (20), and in particular, a mobile terminal (20), a combined terminal device (30) and a method for splicing control of mobile terminals (20). For a splicable mobile terminal (20), according to a state determination instruction, the mobile terminal (20) is caused to selectively enter a master operating state or a slave operating state; when the mobile terminal (20) operates as a master, a display partitioning unit (a2) partitions the display content of the master according to the display screen resource of individual mobile terminals (20) in a combined terminal device (30), to obtain a plurality of pieces of partitioned display data corresponding to a plurality of the mobile terminals (20) in the combined terminal device (30), and sends corresponding partitioned display data to slaves; and in a case in which the mobile terminal (20) acts as a slave, upon reception of the partitioned display data from the master, a display switching unit (a3) displays the received partitioned display data. The content displayed by the master can be displayed by the slaves, and when there are a large number of slaves, the content can be displayed to a user on a relatively large screen composed of a plurality of slaves, satisfying people's demand for a large display area.

MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

The present invention relates to a wrist-wearable mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. A mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a band configured to be worn around a user's wrist; a first body connected to the band; a second body formed to be attachable to or detachable from the first body; and a control unit for outputting information relating to an external device to different devices when the first body and the second body are separated from each other and when the same are coupled to each other, respectively.

An integrating apparatus for integrating a plurality of electronic devices includes an elongated frame member and a plurality of spaced-apart connecting plugs. Each of the electronic devices includes a main body that is formed with a receptacle and a display that is mounted in the main body. The frame member is flexible, has opposite end portions separably coupled to each other, and is adapted for encircling and positioning the main bodies of the electronic devices. The connecting plugs protrude from the frame member, are electrically connected to each other, and are adapted for electric connection with the receptacles of the main bodies of the electronic devices.

Communication system

A communication system for a mobile computing device that provides for personal communication. A housing of the communication system provides a receiving aperture for accepting the mobile computing device. An upper wall and lower wall of the housing guide the mobile computing device into the housing towards an interior wall. An audio data transmission system enables communication between the mobile computing device with the audio input and the audio output. Insertion of the mobile computing device into the housing connects the mobile computing device with the communication system. Upon connection with the communication system, the mobile computing device outputs audio to the external audio output. The mobile computing device also receives audio captured by the audio input.

Mechanical locking of floor panels with vertical snap folding

Floor panels are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system on long and short edges allowing installation with vertical snap folding that could be accomplished automatically without tools and where the short edge locking system has a tongue made in one piece with the panel. The floor panels may have a first and a second connector at the long edges that are configured to obtain a minimum of friction facilitating a displacement, by a spring back force from the bending of a short edge locking strip, of a new panel in a horizontal direction along the long edge during the vertical snap folding action.
