WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE CARD IN THE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE
The present invention provides a wireless communication device and a subscriber identity module card in a wireless communication device. The subscriber identity module card comprises a flat plate carrier, a subscriber identity module circuit and a gas sensing chip. The flat plate carrier comprises a first surface where the subscriber identity module circuit is disposed, a second surface where the gas sensing chip is disposed, a through hole, and an electrical contact portion passing through the through hole and extending to reach the first surface and the second surface. The electrical contact portion is electrically connected to the subscriber identity module circuit and the gas sensing chip. The gas sensing chip is disposed on a portion of the subscriber identity module card where not occupied by the subscriber identity module circuit. Thus, the wireless communication device provides gas sensing function without additionally equipping with an external gas sensing element.
Disablement of Wi-Fi access in response to lack of activated SIM card
Example embodiments relate to a user equipment that can receive a command to turn on the user equipment. In response to determining that the user equipment has not been initialized, and prior to displaying a graphical user interface listing a Wi-Fi network to which the user equipment can connect, the user equipment presents a graphical user interface that displays an option to activate a cellular service provided by a mobile network operator entity, but does not display an option to activate the cellular service at a subsequent time.
RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A radio communication equipment of this application comprises a controller, and an information card configured to record a profile for using a service provided by a telecommunications company. The controller comprises a switching controller configured to switch the profile recorded on the information card, and an application controller configured to control a profile-compliant application using a service provided by the telecommunications company, in compliant with the profile. The switching controller is configured to read information from a new profile on the information card, when switching to the new profile. The switching controller is configured to notify the application controller of the information read from the new profile.
FLIP PHONE WITH DIRECT ACCESS TO EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDERS
A method and apparatus of communication via a hand held device that includes receiving an indication at the device to initiate an emergency call via a wireless network; determining whether the device is configured with a subscriber identity module (SIM) card, wherein the SIM card includes a plurality of numbers; and sequentially calling the plurality of numbers stored on the SIM card based on the determination that the device is configured with the SIM card. Further, the method and apparatus include detecting an emergency indication; connecting to a wireless network; and establishing a communication with one or more emergency service providers based at least in part on detecting the emergency indication, wherein the communication is established via the wireless network

On-device activation of mobile computing devices
Methods, systems, and computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for receiving, from a mobile device, a request to register with a mobility network, the mobile device including a partially-activated subscriber identification module (SIM); determining that the partially-activated SIM qualifies for on-device activation; in response to determining that the partially-activated SIM qualifies for on-device activation, providing a short message service (SMS) message to the mobile device through the mobility network, the SMS message including a uniform resource locator (URL); in response to activation of the URL, providing, to the mobile device, access to an activation portal web page associated with the URL, wherein SIM data and device data are automatically provided to the activation portal web page; and receiving, from the mobile device, activation data, and in response, activating the SIM and provisioning the mobile device within the mobility network.
Card holder
A card holder includes a shell, a base unit, a button unit and a pushing unit. The shell opens an opening. A bottom of the shell is opened freely to form an accommodating space communicated with the opening. The base unit is detachably assembled in the shell. The base unit has an insertion end, a pushing end disposed opposite to the insertion end, and a connecting portion connected between the insertion end and the pushing end. A top of a middle of the insertion end is recessed downward to form a receiving groove for cooperating with a SIM card. The insertion end is detachably inserted into the accommodating space through the opening. The button unit is movably mounted to the pushing end. The pushing unit is disposed between the base unit and the button unit.
