Visual representation of contact location
A method for visually representing information on a display of a portable electronic device includes receiving location coordinates from at least one other portable electronic device, plotting a visual identifier on a map and displaying the map on the display of the portable electronic device. The position of the visual identifier corresponds to the location coordinates received from the at least one other portable electronic device, which correspond to an actual location of the at least one other portable electronic device. The appearance of the visual identifier is selected to depict the status of the user of the at least one other portable electronic device.

Reduced size configuration interface
In response to detecting that an external device is within communication range of an electronic device and in accordance with a determination that the external device is in a pairing mode, the electronic device displays an affordance corresponding to a pairing application of the electronic device. In response to detecting that an external device is within communication range of an electronic device and in accordance with a determination that the external device is not in the pairing mode, the electronic device forgoes display of the affordance. In response to user input corresponding to selection of the affordance, the electronic device displays a user interface associated with initiating a process to pair the electronic device and the external device.

PORTABLE MULTIFUNCTION DEVICE WITH ANIMATED USER INTERFACE TRANSITIONS
In accordance with some embodiments, a computer-implemented method is performed at a portable multifunction device with a touch screen display. The computer-implemented method includes: displaying a home menu comprising a plurality of application launch icons; detecting activation of any respective application launch icon; and, in response to detecting the activation, displaying a first animation of a transition from display of the home menu to display of an application that corresponds to the activated application launch icon. The first animation comprises expanding an image of the application.

Electronic device for communicating in augmented reality and method thereof
An augmented reality (AR) device supporting an AR is provided. The AR device includes a display, a communication circuit, at least one processor operatively connected to the display and the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to establish a connection with a user device storing a contact application and a message application, through the communication circuit, detect that the message application is executed, and display a first graphic user interface (GUI) and at least one avatar, which is disposed at a location adjacent to the first GUI and corresponds to at least one contact associated with the contact application or the message application, through the display in the AR.
PERSONALIZED EMOJI DICTIONARY
A personalized emoji dictionary, such as for use with emoji-first messaging. Text messaging is automatically converted to emojis by an emoji-first application so that only emojis are communicated from one client device to another client device. Each client device has a personalized emoji library of emojis that are mapped to words, which libraries are customizable and unique to the users of the client devices, such that the users can communicate secretly in code. Upon receipt of a string of emojis, a user can select the emoji string to convert to text if desired, for a predetermined period of time.
ALWAYS-ON-DISPLAY METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Embodiments of this application provide an always-on-display method and an electronic device. The method includes: displaying, by an electronic device, an always-on-display screen, where the always-on-display screen includes a first image of a first display object; in response to detecting by the electronic device that an external object satisfies a first preset condition, displaying, by the electronic device, a second image of a second display object, where the second image is different from the first image. In the embodiments of this application, the always-on-display screen displayed by the electronic device can change according to the external object. When the external object satisfies a preset condition, a corresponding image or motion video is displayed, so that the always-on-display screen can be flexibly displayed.
Notification of mobile device events
A computer-implemented user notification method includes displaying, in a status area near a perimeter of a graphical interface, a notification of a recent alert event for a mobile device, receiving a user selection in the status area, and in response to the receipt of the user selection, displaying, in a central zone of the graphical interface, detail regarding a plurality of recent messaging events for the mobile device.
