11647110 · 2023-05-09 ·

A mobile phone configured to operate in a normal notification mode and an emergency notification mode. The mobile phone includes a memory adapted to maintain profiles relating to user contacts, an output device operable to emit audible notifications responsive to incoming communications, at least one input device operable to receive a user selection of a silent notification mode of the device and a user selection of a silent mode disabled setting associated with the profiles and a processor coupled to the memory, the output device and the at least one input device. When the device is in the silent notification mode, audible notifications are not emitted from the output device responsive to incoming communications from the user contacts having profiles without the silent mode disabled and audible notifications are emitted from the output device responsive to incoming communications from the user contacts having profiles with the silent mode disabled.

ORGANIZING APPLICATIONS FOR MOBILE DEVICES

Methods and apparatuses for arranging applications for a mobile device are described, in which the mobile device includes a set of applications. The mobile device may identify certain applications that a user of the mobile device is likely to activate, based on a particular environmental setting. The environmental setting may include a present location determined by a GPS, a present date and time, a present day, or the like. The mobile device may display graphical elements (e.g., icons) corresponding to the identified applications on a screen of the mobile device such that the user may conveniently activate the identified applications. In some embodiments, the mobile device may sort individual applications of the set based on quantities and/or lengths of activations to identify such applications. The mobile device may enlarge the icons by a predetermined factor before displaying them on the screen.

TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINING AN OPTIMAL BEDTIME OR WAKEUP TIME

Methods, systems, and devices for sleep analysis are described. The method may include receiving, at a first application, physiological data associated with a user that is collected via a set of sensors of a wearable device. The method may include receiving, at the first application and from a second application, information indicating a wakeup time restriction for the user. In some cases, the method may include determining, by the first application, a bedtime for the user based on the physiological data and the wakeup time restriction for the user. In some other cases, the method may include identifying, by the first application, sleep staging information for the user while the user is sleeping based on the physiological data, and further include determining a wakeup time for the user based on the sleep staging information and the wakeup time restriction for the user from the second application.

Systems and methods for power consumption management

A power source is configured to supply power to one or more components of an electronic device. A processing device that is in communication with the power source can be configured to determine an estimated power requirement of the mobile electronic device during a time period, to determine a charge state of the power source, and to produce an indication of the remaining use time of the electronic device based on the estimated power requirement and the charge state of the power source.

INDOOR/OUTDOOR COVERAGE DETECTION BASED ON SENSOR INPUTS

Techniques are disclosed for determining whether a mobile device is located indoors or outdoors. In some embodiments, a mobile device may utilize a fusion of the information from multiple sensors, such as a RGB sensor, a proximity sensor, a light intensity sensor, and a WiFi radio, to determine whether the mobile device is located indoors or outdoors.
